Poll Results: Ron & Hermione Are More Epic Than Edward & Bella

    By Scott Harris | August 12, 2011 |

They faced down dementors, giant spiders and cursed Horcuxes. They took on Death Eaters, basilisks and even fought Lord Voldemort himself. But now, "Harry Potter" heroes Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger have defeated the most powerful force of all: Twi-Hards.

The official results of our poll to determine the more epic romance are in and, with more than 170,000 votes cast, it wasn't even close, with Ron and Hermione trouncing the "Twilight" duo of Edward and Bella by a final tally of 59-percent to 41-percent.

Now the debate can really begin.

Not that there has been any shortage of debate on either side of the aisle so far; ever since we first announced our poll back in July, fans of both "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" have been weighing in with both their comments and their votes, trying to sway internet opinion in favor of their chosen couple.

And for many people, ourselves included, the decision of which couple to vote for was like asking which of your children you love the most; we're head over heels for both "Harry Potter" and "Twilight," which is why we wrote impassioned defenses of both Ron & Hermione and Edward & Bella when the poll started.

But after a month of debate so intense it actually came close to shutting down the government (that's what that was all about right?), the fans have spoken to the tune of 170, 423 votes -- and Ron & Hermione are the clear winners.

So hats off to our wizarding lovebirds!

    From Mugglenet.

    Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :ohyeah:

    RON AND HERMIONE FOREVER BITCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I'm new to this forum but a long-time passenger on the R/E ship! You all have great insights. I just wanted to pose a few questions that will further steer the R/E ship in the right direction! lol

So, speaking of Rupert's t-shirts, did anyone notice his shirt he wore during the Cherrybomb DVD launch? It had a big question mark on it.

    My link

Emma was wearing a necklace with the same question mark on her Daybreak interview.

They are definitely playing at something here! A little George Emerson-esque (A Room With a View), dontchya think?

Also, Rupert made a strange comment during a Wild Target interview. He said he was star struck by Alan Titchmarsh, the TV personality who is a gardener. What an odd thing to say. Why? Because maybe he likes to watch gardening shows? Who said she has a garden and loves gardening?

Felton's tweet about visiting Grauman's footsteps seemed very sentimental. Like Rupert is pining for something... for her?

I think the necklace that Emma was wearing is a "7". I haven't seen it before!!! By the way, Rupert had a "7" on his tie during the Baftas 2011!!! Too much coincidences!!

  3. I told yall what I was feeling when I saw those pics---I am usually never wrong about these things :) That's why it is hard for my students to get away with anything in my room! ;) I SENSE when something is off...my Assis. Principal even calls me CSI teacher ;)

Hahaha  You have a third eye!!!

  4. Did any of you get the sense that the WB just let the films and books success dictate the promotion for the final films? I felt like they were trying to do as little work as possible and just riding the wave of the series' popularity. :(

I was really quite disapointed with how they were promoted. Now in fairness, I NEVER saw the promotional periods for the previous films while they happened. But I did see a lot of the stuff that was done, later on in clips and videos.

In fairness too... I did kind of try to stay away from some stuff so as not to be spoiled. Like I never wanted to see the pics of what they were going to look like in the epilogue or what kids they got to play Ron and Hermione's or Harry and Ginny's children. -_-

Yes!!! I was thinkig the same!!! I mean, the film is still on theatre, so why don't they keep doing promotion? If the promotion were huge, the film would surpass Titanic.

  5. I think Emma is dating this guy, but I don't know if it's a serious relationship (maybe a summer love like George Craig).

But I really believe that Emma still feels something for Rupert. I remember the DH 2 press conference when she was comparing the Dan kiss and the Rupert kiss. She was so shy when she was talking about kissing Rupert "Why?" I wonder. And during that time she was dating with this guy (supposedly). I mean, if she has a boyfriend, why is she nervous when she talks about the kissing scene? Because she has feelings for Rupert, but she doesn't want to admit it... yet.

  6. Thats one thing i didnt like about the movie you know the picture where they are sitting on the staairs and she has her arm around him and he's totally crying? that better be a deleted scene!

haha i loved them on the epilogue <3

Why didn't like you that scene?
