  1. I aslso read a lot of her books (more than 50 of them). Hercule Poirot is so intelligent, I can only admire that character. He is funny in her own way, and the cleverness of the plots are amazing. I like the author very much, however something's missing to me : love stories ! Haha I recomend you also to read Patricia Wentworth's books. Her main detective is Miss Silver who is very touching, and I find all of her books are good stories (and you have romantic plots in it hehe).
  2. Thessalie

    Jane Austen

I'm also very respectful of her work, I think she is a very talented writer. I'm always surprised to find genuine humour in her books, it is so refreshing. And there is something I love about this period (~17th century if i'm not mistaken). I read several times Pride and Prejudice. But I must say i mostly discovered her work with the movies. If you've never seen the adaptations produced by the BBC I recomend them to you. I loved Northanger Abbey, Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion and of course Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth. I also liked very much Sense and Sensibility with Ka
  3. Oh my gid, i would be SOOOOO 200% jealous not to be a wizard myself ! Not sure I could stant my "normality" next to that. But i'd say it would be worse with a Jedi - he can read your mind !
  4. Haha funny question ! I think it is to preserve the secret about where Hogwart is. Would you take all the parents by train ? I guess, with the points system, they learn about fairplay, good attitude, stuff like that. Punishments are big enough, don't you think ? And in Harry Potter, from what i felt, they have a big respect for the teachers and the teaching, so there's no need to call the parents to make them understand something went wrong.
  5. In the books I would say Ron. He's very funny, loyal, surprising. Also I deeply love when Fred and Georges come around, those are great moments - funny and sometimes it has a touch of maturity. Ginny becomes more and more interesting also, and Hermione is very touching. She's funny in her own way, it's what makes her frienship with Ron that makes their moments together so interesting to read. I would have like Harry a lot more if he wasn't strugglling that much XD
  6. Nice question ! Hum i'm afraid of water animal (fish, sharks, jellyfish) especially when i'm in the water. Even when i'm in a swimming pool, i'm afraid that a shark will appear in the middle of the pool. Don't laugh, i'm not the only one like that, i heard on the radio A friend of mine told me it's the fear of the infinity. Actually yeah i'd be horrified to finish in the middle of a big desert as well, or a giant forest, so it sounds good to me. (And that explains why i don't like analysis in mathematics haha - I just hope i won't be the only one to understand that joke...)
  7. Thank you all, and Thank you Hermione (you're the winner of the golden ticket with that nickname, gosh 1rst arrived 1rst to take it ? Lucky girl ) I actually like to be understood, and i would apriciate if i could me "known for who i am". That's why i don't lie and give some details for anyone who has the same interest to feel free to come and talk to me !
  8. Hi everyone ! A message to say hello, and to introduce me a little. I used to be French Kiss on the chat on Emmawatson.net 4 years ago (but i'm sure nobody remembers ), now I took the name Thessalia, because my french name is Thessalie, Thessalia is the name of the greek region where my names come from. I love studies, i'm deeeply in love with mathematics, and hope i'll succeed in my studies. I also love deeply the english language, hovewer i never got the chance to be bilingual. I hope one day i'll make an erasmus program in the United-Kingdom, or maybe i'll study in America if i can.
