    Movies A-Z

Save The Last Dance (why is this film not on Blu-ray yet? Julia Stiles owned that movie.)
  5. Funny Face, with Audrey Hepburn in 1957, is still such a great musical, great costumes and colors, music direction...waiting for the Blu-ray someday.
  6. leftover spaghetti and meatsauce/sausage from dinner out last night. yummy
  7. rueing the day i ever realized that money or lack thereof would control every aspect of my life...er, scratch that, existence.
  8. 10 hours of corporate wage-slavery, 1 hour of crass consumerism (shopping), two hours on the net....not enough sleep. lolz
  9. Silver Linings Playbook, on Blu-ray. Jennifer definitely deserved her Oscar, great and intense acting, love the film.
  10. Guardians of the Galaxy...worth every penny of the Real3D price!
  11. i totally agree with everything in the 15 y/o boy's piece on feminism...and maybe in our lifetime, it will not just be equal gender rights, but human rights. human rights are everyone, one for one and one for all. humanity cannot progress until all are equal, regardless of gender, race, religion, etc. a very well-written piece indeed.
  12. i have never been a fan of using celebrities such as actors, singers, athletes, etc, as role models because after all, the are human just like the rest of us non-celebrities, but if i was ever to change my mind and pick one famous person to aspire to, it would definitely be the inspiring, intelligent, classy, and oh so talented Miss Watson. she can do no wrong in my book. keep up the great work, Emma, and we'll see you on whatever stage you choose.
  13. well deserved by the beautiful and hugely talented Miss Watson...congratz!
  14. i liked several of his films, much preferred his stand-up comedy, funny guy, very sad to hear of his passing. my condolences to his loved ones.
  15. ^ nice! oh my, that cake and cupcakes are making me hungry. *runs for the fridge*
  16. when she laughs or smiles, i can't help but stand for a bit in that ray of sunshine.
  17. i'm not the biggest fan of the UN as a whole, but there are UN programs that i approve of and would like to see more celebrities get involved with, as they bring much more exposure and spotlight than would normal people. face it, famous people do get our attention, for better or for worse. i do like the UN Women Ambassador Initiative, as it brings world-wide recognition to women's rights and equality, especially to third-world cultures, where women are treated like dogs in hugely male-dominated societies, such as fundemental muslim countries. there will never be peace, prosperity, and progre
  18. very true on both statements. that's why i love movies so much, and great actors/actresses. Emma is a great actress.
  19. Angelina Jolie was a UN Goodwill Ambassador for several years or more, she also supports UNICEF, as did another favorite actress of mine, the beautiful old-Hollywood star, Audrey Hepburn. Audrey spent the last few years of her life, traveling third-world impoverished countries, supporting UNICEF and UN programs. i commend Emma in supporting this cause.
  20. interesting, and thanks for posting it, but oddly it doesn't remind me of JK's writing style, for some reason. to me, it reads like a 'ghost writer', but maybe that's just me.
  21. Perks was filmed in my original hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, and i thought Emma's American accent for the film was good enough to pass as a Northern accent, and through quite a few viewings of Perks, her acting and accent has stood the scrutiny and test of time. love that film! looking forward to this next film......
