What was the last movie you watched?
yorkshire replied to hobbitses's topic in Movies and Television
Rise of the Planet of the Apes -
It all died down around Wednesday time, seemed to have stopped as quickly as it started. At the moment there's just arrests going on all over the place, which is a good thing.
-
Of course! Would you walk 500 miles to see Emma? How about 500 more?
-
I wonder where it'll all go from here. Definitely a big wake up call. I'm glad to see that there seems to be a lot of justice for most rioters, apparently some guy stole a 6 pack of water worth £3.50 and he got 6 months in jail! Many rioters who were receiving benefits are seeing them revoked.
-
The police just need to use a bit of force tonight and they should keep on top of it. I feel like they've held back a bit the last couple of nights but it seems like today a bit of planning has gone into it. I hope every single rioter is brought to justice.
-
Yeah I heard about Leeds and Birmingham too. I can't see anything decent being done to stop it all tonight though, we'll have to see what measures are brought out tomorrow. I for one think the army should be brought in, although I don't want to see any actual guns involved.
-
The majority of the rioters at the moment are just jumping of the bandwagon. Most won't even be aware of the police shooting last week, much less the circumstances around it. A sky news reporter has filmed a video on his phone and uploaded it to youtube, personally I think he's doing a brilliant job and he's certainly got balls to be asking people 'if they're proud'. Video here: These people are utter scum, if I had authority I'd waste no time in getting the tear gas/ rubber bullets out and I hope every single one of these disgraces are chased down and locked up. Absolutely sickening.

It wasn't hard, I actually found out the question from Snitchseeker's twitter and then just went straight to quill.pottermore.com/252. Then I found out again from Snitchseeker where the quill was! (top of the page in the ad) Whole thing took less than a minute.

Hmmm....not sure what might have caused that. The plot thickens...

I wish I was as musical as he was. Lads on the forum, we'll need a new approach besides singing songs!

That's the one thing you shouldn't do! Champagne doesn't like to be kept cold, or else it'll lose it's flavour! The key is to keep it at a steady room temperature, then put it in the fridge a day before you drink it. See here:- http://www.champagnegold.co.uk/blog/How-to-Store-Champagne-the-Right-Way/

Controversial, some might say!
-
Seriously, that guy who is speaking is an utter arsehole. I swear he's trying to provoke a reaction. And when you see Emma's face about 25 seconds in, I just feel so bad for her...

Public or Private school?
yorkshire replied to Sgt Harbinger's topic in School, Homework and Assignments Forum
I went to both. I reckon that in general private schools are better, but there are so many public schools nowadays with excellent teachers and a great ethos which are better than a lot of fee paying schools. If I could do school all over again, I'd choose to be in the public school I was at for the entire time. I feel like I'd have done just as well. -

Ah thanks - that clears it up. How many days left are there for the clues? And anybody know roughly what time the clues come out? (GMT)
-
Yep, it's really not that great! There's just loads of people taking photos next to it. The building, Kings cross itself, is actually far more impressive!
-
What is actually going on with Pottermore? Can someone explain as I'm not following. Are they releasing a clue each day to let a set amount of people in?
-
I think it's the Melrose district of Hollywood, i.e Melrose avenue.

I met him in my home town, Leeds. Just had a quick chat with him about the local football team! He's a very down to earth nice guy, and he's just exactly like he is in all the interviews you see. edit: Oh and this was just over a year ago. Just as they were finishing DH, as I think he was saying something about going down south the day after to do some filming.
-
Proud to say I've met him!

95% are automatic? Wow. In the UK it's probably the complete opposite. Got to love a good old gearstick!
-
I think I remember a Letterman interview where she mentions passing her driving test first time. I passed mine first too! We are in an elite club...

Kiwis can fly.

I watched it all! There's quite a lot of Emma in it, no doubt it'll be on youtube in a few hours.
