  1. For a while I would have said yes but during this past year or so I'd say it doesn't look very likely. If Obama is reelected she's not coming back as Secretary of State and I believe she stated she's planning on retiring. If she were to run in 2016 she'd be about 68 and it's tough to keep up with a campaign and presidency at that age. I think she could do it and I think she'd have a very good chance of getting elected given her vast experience. I guess I'd like to see it but I don't think it will happen.
  2. I'm not saying Obama's a great candidate, but I would consider him the lesser of two evils. Realistically there's no quick fix to the economic crisis, neither candidate has an amazing plan that will instantly revive our economy. The Great Depression lasted a long time and would have lasted through the 40's had it not been for WWII. If nothing else Obama's kept the economy at a level where it hasn't gotten worse. The auto industry is stabilizing, we have universal health care (whether or not you agree with it. I personally don't think it's the greatest bill but I definitely think we need someth
  3. If you can couch surf that would save you some money. You might be able to find some cheap hotels/motels but odds are they'll be located in more low income/ghetto areas. If you could couch surf half the time you should be able to afford a decent hotel/motel the rest. I would say for the car craigslist and personal ads in the paper would be your best bet. There's no shortage of used car lots in LA so it shouldn't be too hard to find a decent used car.
  4. OMG IS THAT A TILE FLOOR???? Pff, epic shelves, tile floors, someone's got it made...
  5. Yeah good hostels generally aren't cheap. You could find some ghetto ones, but they generally aren't located in the best locations. SD is worth checking out, they've got a nice beach and there's a lot of interesting shops and restaurants in the area. It's one of the more beautiful parts of California.
  6. I feel your pain there man @_@.
  7. I think they're showing some highlights of the US's paralympics this year as opposed to nothing at all, but this will be more 1 hour highlights instead of all day coverage. I think there might be online coverage like there was for the olympics but I might be wrong about that. From what I remember the paralympics haven't really been covered heavily in the US. I'd say Dook's spot on, odds are they don't think it will do well ratings wise which isn't saying much seeing as it's NBC...
  8. I know man...There's a conspiracy, I shouldn't say this because they'll kill me, but Erik the truth is
  9. It's the intimidation factor, everyone knows you're the brute mod .
  10. We pretty much get tourists year round. April/May would probably be the more ideal months as it's starting to warm up and you don't hit the summer tourism rush. June through August will probably be busy because most schools are out and people visiting on holiday during that time, same with mid December to early January.
  11. Yeah, born and raised in LA county and I've lived the last year up in NorCal for school. If you sell it down in LA and the car is still in good condition I don't think you'll have trouble finding a person to sell it to. You might not get what you originally bought it for but you should be able to recoup your money. If all else fails there are tons of places to donate it to. SF has a lot, since it's so compact there so much to do in one area. I'd say check out Fisherman's wharf, China town (I liked it anyways), Cal Academy of Science (which surprisingly has a really good nightlife), Alcatr
  12. Yeah pretty much. Pocahontas is based off an account by John Smith during his time in the new world. She is highly altered from the original account to the Disney account though, primarily age wise. Jasmin is based off the Arabian Nights version of Aladdin, one of the few fairy tales I haven't read so I don't know how accurate it is. Beauty and the Beast is based off "La Belle et la Bête" which is considered a french fairy tale but there's some debate about it as I recall. I think the original story and the disney version differ. The Little Mermaid was a story by Hans Christian Andersen
  13. The camera angles on a lot of the fast action sports have been pretty bad. And I've got to agree some of the commentators are a bit annoying, but then again I've always found them a bit annoying so . I'm a bit disappointed about the podium as well, in Olympics past they would show the award ceremony no matter who won, now you're lucky to see it if an American wins. I understand it's all in the interest of showing the most sports in a limited amount of time, but it was always cool to hear anthems from different countries. Overall I haven't been very impressed with their coverage either.
  14. Good, our plans of capturing Anna are so close now. The great Macara beast shall be pleased with our work. Any who kwazamba eh? I thought we eradicated that years ago, just goes to show you things can get pretty crazy here.
  15. That's not a bad idea, really a lot of the tourist attractions out here are over rated. Honestly LA is so huge and there's tons of cities right by it anyway you won't have trouble finding things to do. I suppose Beverly Hills and West Hollywood are more high end. If you want to see more low key everyday California in Socal I'd hit up Santa Monica or go over to Simi Valley. I'm not really sure there is a normal in the LA area, it's really a mesh of several different lifestyles, from the rich and the famous to the poor and crazy with everything in between. As for the car rental generally you c
  16. Does a billywub crack chili with 3 pounds of re-fried beef while talking about coconuts? I'll have them there within the hour -_o.
  17. My ship doesn't have enough cornflakes for the journey and I don't want to settle for cheerio's! That haircut sounds enticing, but not as enticing as cornflakes... Thank god I have my robot penguin Pegio # 10, I'll send him and we should have the Frisbee by sunrise on the 5th day before the horn of helm hammerhand is sounded.
  18. WHERE AM I SUPPOSE TO GET A LEFT HANDED FRISBEE?!?!?!?! I've got everything else though o.o...
  19. With what man???? This is Anna we're talking about, she'll rip through anything we have in 1.876 seconds! That will only enrage her, and god help us if that happens O_O...
