Jade
So, this happens a lot through cross contamination or through a lot of miss-cooking meats. I thought i'd start a topic about this. What are your views on it, and have you suffered with it before? I suffered with it once, after having a chinese. All I had was rice and curry sauce but the rice was uncooked. That night... well yeah, I'll spare you the details.

Jade
Oo I myself have never given anyone it either. My fiance is a chef. So we've agreed that he'll cook the meals and i'll bake the deserts.
Arie
I got it once from a really nice restaurant actually... never went back. I had a steak with a mushroom sauce and then was throwing up for hours! It was horrible!
Kim.
I got it once from a really nice restaurant actually... never went back. I had a steak with a mushroom sauce and then was throwing up for hours! It was horrible! That isn't surprising. No matter how expensive a restaurant is, there is the chance for major faux pas in their cooking and preparation. Especially when it's busy. I have a habit of ordering my meat, such as steak or pork (I know many people do not eat pork for several reasons, but I grew up eating it -hides- ), very well-done. If most meat, poultry, or fish is not cooked to the proper temperature to ensure the eradication of bacteria and the food item is consumed, you will feel sick. When in doubt, go without. I've had a couple bad experiences, but I will not go into detail now as I'm currently eating. Edited March 14, 2011 by Lena
Imagine
OH yeah i had it very badly once, me and my boyfriend went to this lovely and highly reputable resturant in our village. I remember we both had this chicken with this pepper sauce. Well not long after eating it i was incredibly unwell, so was the boyfriend. He was staying at mine that night but i made him stay in another room with a seperate bathroom because I was occupying my bathroom all night. My mum had to put a pillow by my head and blanket over me as i was on my bathroom tiles all night throwing up at regular intervals. Edited March 14, 2011 by Imagine

Karen
I've never had it luckily! My friend has had it like two or three times from the sushi at her school, and I've had sushi and have never gotten sick I hear it's awful, and I feel especially fortunate because when I eat my meat, I eat it rare, as does my mom. I'm always worried about consuming undercooked meat but so far I've never had a problem, even when I order from restaurants. As long as they know to slow cook it, I'm not concerned. As for sushi, I don't eat it often but when I do I havent had a problem, I think I threw up from crab rangoons once but that definitely wasn't food poisoning, as I was only sick that one time. So yeah
