There's always been some reputable stories of actors/actresses turned singers which don't really turn out the way they planned. Shouldn't this be in the Emma General Chat section? If she has the talent though, which it seems she does, then sure. I like how Tom Felton (Draco) sings and plays guitar, but on a smaller scale. Then you won't hear the songs on the radio a million times a day, so much that you get sick of hearing that person, Emma's worth more than that Link to post Share on other sites

If she helped to stop that current nonsense called pop and hip-hop, I would happily support her redemptive musical career. Although I'd much rather her music (if she ever decided to go down that path) to lead in the direction of Bjork and Sarah McLachlan, rather than Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. Some actresses have had successful music careers and been actresses at the same time. Jennifer Love Hewitt started off as a singer, and then went into acting. Mandy Moore has shown herself to be both a talented musician and a talented actress. So has Janet Jackson. But I don't think Emma should go into singing if she doesn't have the voice. Speaking as a musician and a lover of music, I think someone should stick to what they're good at. If they have the pipes, they should sing. If they don't, they shouldn't. I don't think she should pursue it, nor do I think she is interested now. She said she wants to focus on acting. I also agree with Kimmie, Tom Felton's voice is amazing! Seriously though, I would have to hear her sing to make a choice. I think everyone can sing if they train at it. It's all about breathing, learning pitch and so forth. Whether you have a small voice (ex: Lights) or a big voice (ex: Lady Gaga), it matters not. I've been singing most of my life. Not sure if Emma has even had training though. I'm sure she could do it though. It's never too late to start. I remember reading that she likes to pretend she's a rock star..
