So, I'm probably way behind the power curve of fighting games because I play sports games 99% of the time. But I did find that 1% of me this past weekend that wanted to play something different. So I went to the game stop shop and got me the game called "Prince of Persia - The Forgotten Sands." It's the only PoP game that they had, so I figured I'd give it a shot. 4 hours into playing the game, I'm now hooked on it. I'm destined to get the other Prince of Persia games.

So does anyone else play the Prince of Persia games? What do you think of them?

If you get the other PoP games you can get them pretty cheap in HD on Xbox Live (or PSN) but as you have a Xbox 360 it might be worthwhile to look into that.

There is also Prince of Persia 2008 which is I think very underrated. It has a unique artstyle and I really dig it. I seem to be the only person though :P . It might because I'm a fan of Nolan North. That one has nothing to do with Sands of Time trilogy though.

Of course I should also mention PoP 1 way back and 2. Which were two great sidescrollers. And of course Prince of Persia 3D...which was basically Tomb Raider...with the Prince. I kinda liked it though.

So yeah, big fan of these series. If I have one complaint it would be that I think that the Forgotten Sands is a totally unnecessary game, it doesn't add anything to the original trilogy . It serves no purpose other then to cash in on the reasonably success of the PoP movie.

The main ones I'm playing right now are FIFA 10, World Cup: South Africa and NCAA Football 12 until Madden 12 comes out.

I will definitely look into getting the other PoP games that way. After all, I do need all the money I bring home, so cheaper is better. :P I admit now that I probably should have started with the very first game of the Sands of Time trilogy as I'm just now starting to play the games. I'm not a fan of anything 3D however. I don't like the fact that you have to put a special pair of glasses on (on top of my prescription ones I may add) just to watch a movie or play any games. :P

You misunderstood. Prince of Persia 3D was called that because it was the first of the PoP games that had 3 dimensions in it. It has nothing to do with the 3D that is popular nowadays.

Ah, I got it now. See? The fact that I play sports games 99% of the time shows. I assume I have a lot to learn. :P

I played and adore Sands of Time and The Two Thrones. I was not a fan of Warrior Within. It was a good game under all the bile they put into it to appeal to the masses but I think Penny Arcade said it best: "You needed a bio hazard suit to play the game".

I did not like the new game and the new prince. I found it boring and plain. Unpopular opinion I'm sure of it. :x
