Sgt Harbinger
Well, I know we all had books and novels that we just had to read in high school or college. Then you took chapter tests and before you know it you were done with the book and you took the test over the whole thing. As far as required readings for me, I can remember only a few of them: Lord of The FliesFahrenheit 451A Tale of Two CitiesThe Great GatsbyTo Kill A Mockingbird So, what were some (maybe all if you can remember them) of the books that you were required to read in school? Edit: Oh...feel free to discuss the books as well (whatever books you had to read.) Edited August 16, 2011 by Turbo

Dax
- The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka (worst short story ive ever read)What??? I admit it's not Kafka's best work but it is wasn't horrible. I think people most people are put off by existentialist literature which is what Kafka was good at, particularly with this and The Trial. God I seriously have read hundreds. I'll name a few and forgo authors otherwise I'll be here all night. Lord of The FliesThe Lord of the Rings (all 3)The HobbitFahrenheit 451The Great GatsbyTo Kill a Mocking BirdJane EyreLife of PiHenry VRomeo and JulietHamletA Midsummer's Night DreamOthelloA Clockwork OrangeThe TrialThe MetamorphosisThings Fall ApartThe Diary of Anne FrankThe Catcher in the RyeUncle Tom's CabinAnimal Farm1984One Day in the Life of Ivan DenisovichAll Quiet on the Western FrontCatch-22Brave New WorldDo Androids Dream of Electric SheepHandmaiden's TaleThe Left Hand of DarknessFrieda Kahlo's BiographyThe works of John Keats (Bright Star)Heart of DarknessJohnny TremainRed Badge of CourageSherlock Holmes (Adventures, Memoirs, and Return of)Slaughter House FiveNightBenjamin Franklin's AutobiographyZen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance A Single ManWoman WarriorWar of the WorldsThe Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime Honestly there are still quite a few I've left out. When all is said and done I'm pretty sure since 6th grade up to this point I've probably read over 100-150 books for school. Of course if you aren't counting school the amount of books I've read is far higher and if you count short stories and poetry the figure is astronomical ^.^.

It was so frustrating lol. I cant remember them all, but ill try.- The Tempest- Romeo and Juliet- Holes- Of mice and men- Lord of flies Edited August 20, 2011 by Imagine
