However, I feel that it'd be kind of cool to just say the positive things on our minds that we feel as we are feeling them, which may not be related to feeling grateful.

 

Let me start: I. LOVE. GOD.

 

Why?

-He has brought me absolutely wonderful people into my life in the past year (church, personal friends, etc.) [related to gratefulness sorta].

-I just have this overwhelming feeling right now, just this GOOD vibe (no, I didn't "take" anything!). I think...I found my purpose in the depths of difficulty, and being able to help both other people and myself (acts of kindness, love, etc.) is seriously my high, and I have no other solid reason to explain these urges except for the Influence I feel.

-I never thought I would say it, EVER. I also never thought I'd ever pick up a Bible and read it for "fun". I feel peace in it.

WHAT brought this on?

Thought just hit me--while I was trying to find a church to fit into when I got home from Boston, I listened to sermons from Congregational churches around my state (I settled into a Reform church, however...for right now). I remember listening to a sermon from a female minister on how people shared their faith (whichever faith it is). She used an anecdote about herself getting errands done during the day and seeing a young woman in a shirt with the following phrase on it: "SPIRITUAL WARRIOR".

 

Of course, it's a public display, but it can also be an internal monologue. I can link the sermon for anyone interested in listening.

 

What're ya'll feeling? What good thing? Do you feel steady? Steadfast? Hopeful? Surprised? Accepted? Loved? OK? Thoughtful? Contemplative? Reminiscent? Questioning? Skeptical?

I SWEAR, I SWEAR I meant to reply to this earlier. I wasn't ignoring you Kim, I promise!! I love that you posted this. I mean, I can't tell you how much I love that you posted this.

 

You are right, the positive feelings that are on our minds don't necessarily have to be something that is related to gratefulness.

 

I would like to say, that I also love God and I LOVE that you are so enthusiastic about it! When I think about all the good things God has done for me in this life it makes me feel very very grateful!

 

Today, let's see. I'm happy because I'm going to dinner with someone tonight, not a guy or anything but just a friend from school. I like eating with people, as you know, and I think food is the best tasting with others.

 

I had an AWESOME day yesterday and although I feel slightly guilty about the amount of money I spent I got a nice winter coat.

 

I am slowly finding answers to my prayers and I am trying to listen for God's voice in my life!
