Will
I think "cuddle" is the verb I have to use there, I don't know, my english is not 100% good; anyway:The mother's caresses during childhood can help today's children to "resist" the temptation of drugs and other addictive substances when they reach adulthood. This is what emerges from a study by Duke University (in USA) and the University of Adelaide (in Australia). Staci Bilbo (neuroscientist and author of the work) explains that experiments with rats have shown that to have much physical contact with the mother increases the production of a molecule of the immune system called interleukin-10 (IL-10) that is capable of modifying the response of the brain to addictive substances. Bilbo and his colleagues have proved that the brains of animals that had received more mother's caresses after birth had more active genes intended to produce this substance. After consuming a drug such as morphine, in the mammalian brain are activated glial cells that produce inflammatory molecules that send signals to a reward center called the nucleus accumbens. However, molecule IL-10 counteracts inflammation and reduces the reward signal, which prevents the creation of an addiction. Personally, I think this is an interesting info, but what do you think guys?
