I.SetFire2TheRain
So I've been thinking. Wouldn't it be fun to have a like/dislike button here on the forums so that we can like topics, posts, replies etc. Personally I think that would kinda fun. There are often things here on the forum that I "like", but there just isn't that option. What do you guys say?? Is it a good or a bad idea?? Cheers!!
Tomâ„¢
I think maybe I like button would be good, but maybe not a dislike button, people may get offended If I dislike everything jk
Jade
I voted no. It's not Facebook.
130671
^ Well that's the voice of the ppl then if a topic gets more dislikes than likes ......but we already have that in a way, if you make a thread and only two ppl respond in as many months, I guess its safe to say that ur thread sucked. Tomâ„¢
I voted no. It's not Facebook. Although I do agree with that. Facebook is one of the worst things on Earth
Lady Deadpool
No from me, sorry. Why do we have to alternate the forums as to look like Facebook? Besides if you like a topic, why do you have to like/dislike it? You just comment on it all you like. I don't see the point.
Hogwarts Lover
Yeah, good idea!
Arie
A lot of people have mentioned this idea. I think its interesting. My issue is that I think it would take away from the forums. People would start liking or disliking and stop posting. I think that works well for facebook. But this is a forum that is made for discussion. The forums have already become so much less active then they once were. I don't think we should do anything that might make it even less active. Plus the discussions we do have are so great! I wouldn't want to loose that!
The Midnight Q
I voted no. It's not Facebook. I wish I could like this comment. ...My opinion is no. If there's a like button, I think there also has to be a dislike button which will cause a few things.
Maestro
One of the first things we decided when we build these forumsthat topic rating/member rating(which is basically liking/disliking things) is something that can only lead to bad things and that is why we have turned it off from the get go. relevancy
I think that if something got too many dislike, or even just one dislike, it'd lead to many problems between the members.

Maestro
That pretty much settles it then! Well, I just wanted to say that it's pretty unlikely we would want to add something like this.
battlescars
Honestly I couldn't care less but if there's a like function there should also be it's counter part. Whether people get affected by it or not is up to themselves. You shouldn't get too worked up about these kind of things.
