So I've been thinking. Wouldn't it be fun to have a like/dislike button here on the forums so that we can like topics, posts, replies etc.

Personally I think that would kinda fun. There are often things here on the forum that I "like", but there just isn't that option.

What do you guys say??

Is it a good or a bad idea?? :)

Cheers!! :ohyeah:

^ Well that's the voice of the ppl then if a topic gets more dislikes than likes  ......but we already have that in a way, if you make a thread and only two ppl respond in as many months, I guess its safe to say that ur thread sucked. :D

A lot of people have mentioned this idea. I think its interesting. My issue is that I think it would take away from the forums. People would start liking or disliking and stop posting. I think that works well for facebook. But this is a forum that is made for discussion. The forums have already become so much less active then they once were. I don't think we should do anything that might make it even less active. Plus the discussions we do have are so great! I wouldn't want to loose that!

One of the first things we decided when we build these forumsthat topic rating/member rating(which is basically liking/disliking things) is something that can only lead to bad things and that is why we have turned it off from the get go.

That pretty much settles it then!
