I find them AMAZING, all the photos. it doesn't look bad at all considering they didn't have her for measurements.

And it certainly looks better than the Radcliffe one.

I agree.. though it would've been better if they had her for measurements, but they did a good enough job anyway.

her eyes are too deep in the figure though.. her face and head is a teeny bit large relevant to rest of the figure, and I think her back is not nicely done.... there are flaws, yes - but its good, considerig the fact that Emma didn't have any measurement sessions for this figure!

I am not one for a good eye Lol...to me the figure looks alot like Emma, eerily similar for a wax figure. I love everyone's artistic eye on here though :) all I see is an exact replica of Emma Lol :)

Dan's one is from Mars, away from the real actor, a bad job, but hey.

Emma's wx figure is amazing!

From certain angles, it looks good. But, I wouldn't say instantly recognizable.

Since they didn't have her as a model, I'd say they did an acceptable job.

HEY ROB, where did u find the PHOTOS?

i dont think it looks that much like her

For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride,
In the sepulchre there by the sea,
In her tomb by the sounding sea.

WHAT ????   :lostit: :lostit: :lostit:

So, a summary: the modern forensic science makes it possible to turn gnawed skulls into perfect facial reconstructions. Computers makes it possible to reproduce perfect faces - and what the hell is this? A work of trainees in their first year? Does Madame Toussauds needs a redefinition? As an exhibition of "look a likes?"

The wax figure, which they call "Emma Watson" looks more like Marcia Cross with dark hair. And not like a famous young actress, we all know.....

You've been watching too much CSI Jonny ;)

Reconstructing the soft tissue of the face - in a way that reflects the look of the original - is still close to impossible. There are prominent examples of where that technology proved of little use just recently.

But speaking of Emma... it's really not that bad. You've been going on about Marcia Cross, well, when they have the same hairdo there IS kind of a resemblance between the two IRL.

The artist only had pictures and videos as a reference. He basically had to guess what her facial dimensions were.

They didn't have any scientific data to work with.

Since they were basically winging it, a passing resemblance is at least commendable.

 Although I love Gil Grissom and his unemotional way to solve cases (after he left the team, the series deteriorated), it was in fact a highly aclaimed documentary by the BBC, which gave me the idea.... :huh:

And Stoertebecker - well, they managed it that his skull was stolen from the museum in Hamburg - who know's which skull they used for re-facing???

And speaking of Emma - I really prefer the real thing.... this  waxi-Emmi is....... money-saving. Because I have no need to go to MT next time I am in London.....

My point was that, whoever that skull really belonged to, it's less than safe to say he really looked like the reconstruction IRL.

Eh, who doesn't (prefer the real Emma)? :D I also have no desire to go there again just to see that figure. But I think they have made real advances. The Hitler figure for example looks like any middle-aged man, completely unrecognizable if it wasn't for some uhm... insignia ;)

As far as we know the real Emma was not part of the project.......

Agreed. She looks kinda way older in one or two :/ But as others have mentioned already, it is not that bad of a job to be honest, since all they had were some pics and vids.

Anyways Emma is so beautiful, that even her wax figure couldn't go wrong. :D
