Dear Adebisi,

RESPECT is nothing, which is only for Ems here. I have no problem, if you criticise my way I see things. I have no problem to be warned by a member of staff for "verbal errors", I have no problem, if you have another sence of humour.

But I have definitly something against the fact to be called a pedophile, even with a "joke".

Maybe you do not know the correct definition for a "pedophile", so let me broaden your horizons a bit.

As a medical diagnosis, pedophilia, or paedophilia, is a psychiatric disorder in persons 16 years of age or older typically characterized by a primary or exclusive sexual interest toward prepubescent children (generally age 11 years or younger, though specific diagnosis criteria for the disorder extends the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13). In popular usage, pedophilia means any sexual interest in children or the act of child sexual abuse, often termed "pedophilic behavior".

(from Wikipedia)

Please understand, that I cannot accept it to be called a "pedo" only because I am at my age a fan of a 23 year old (adult!) woman, I will never meet in person. My girlfriend is 26. And I don't think that she sees a "pedo" in me.

And "Shades of Grey". The stuff is ment to make fun out of it. Laugh about it or jump to another thread. It is sooooo easy.

I was laughing because apparently I heard that my local radio station (which truly is worse than TMZ I have to say-they used to be so good to listen to) even talked about it. I dont get why once the media says something it is deemed automatically true. Anyway off for the weekend! If I dont see yall, HAPPY ST. PATRICK's DAY everyone!!! :)

The only way I would ever go see a movie like this, is if Emma Watson was in it....

Granted, I don't see how they could make a movie out of a porn novel. And I don't see Emma Watson doing porn.

9 1/2 weeks

Basic Instinct

The secretary

Diary of a London callgirl

It is possible.........

9 1/2 Weeks and Basic Instinct are p. cringeworthy/ boring nowadays though. That's what happens when you play on the sensibilities and perceived taboos of any given time.

Secretary was hilarious, and the comic bits ruined the attempts at serious characterization that popped up.

So yeah, I've yet to see an 'erotic movie' that doesn't suck... eh... is that a pun?

Err, this is a family oriented forum, but there are certain scenes from the book that are pulled straight out of a porn movie. It's not just nudity.

I frankly, first off, don't see the need to make this into a movie in the first place...it's smut...and second of all, Emma is so vanilla that I don't see her doing something like this.

But she might surprise me. Who knows? Guess just wait and see...

I'm half relieved that Emma actually has an opinion on this.

I'm also half worried, because for her a sexually loaded role seems out of the question. Or maybe it's the crappy writing she's not thrilled about.

She cannot talk about the book; she never read it ( her own words) and a film-script is not finished (according to a representative of the production). Maybe she will end like Angela Lansbury in "Murder, she wrote". As a harmless, erotic and sex-free actress.

And: if "50 Shades" is really produced, the script will be very different to the original book. To make really money out of a movie, it must be seen by as many people as possible in the United States. And knowing the rating system there, we all know, what this means.........

To be fair, there's a lot of space between "I'll play a sex slave in a movie based on a dime novel" and "I'll never show my tatas on screen!".
