‘Beauty and the Beast’ No. 1 in Fandango Ticket Sales 6 Weeks Before Opening

Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast†remake doesn’t come out for another six weeks, but anticipation for the film is so high that it is selling advance tickets at the same rate as superhero films, according to Fandango.

Fandango began selling advance tickets for “Beauty and the Beast†on Monday, and already it has become the top seller on the ticket website this week, with hundreds of sold out showtimes across the country. The site also reports that it has sold more advance tickets in its first three days than any other family film, breaking the record set last year by Pixar’s “Finding Dory.â€

“With its dazzling new trailers, ‘Beauty’ is creating tremendous buzz among movie fans of all ages,†says Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis. “Its pre-sales rival those of a superhero movie.â€

Part of me is glad of all those trailers, pictures, etc, part of me is a bit disappointed because I feel like I've already seen all the movie.

I know that, because I love the Disney so much, I already know everything that will happen :yesyes: Somehow I would have preferred to keep the mystery of some of Belle's dresses, the look of the beast, the other characters...

Let's be honest, I didn't keep myself away from the EmWatson fanpages at all, so I deserve it

Like for HP4-GOF the movie, I was glad but disappointed at the same time that the Yule Ball dress was not kept as a surprise for the stairs scene in the movie. I saw it months before in a magazine.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/imagehost-grabber/

lol

I'm just glad she's seen some of the Narnia movies!  They really need to make the rest of Chronicles of Narnia books into movies!  They've only done 3 of them  :(.  I'm just such a big C.S. Lewis fan.  I don't think he would have been upset about the Aslan comment.  His fictional creations were much better looking than himself.  C.S. Lewis answered an admirer's fan male once like this, "I'm tall, fat, rather bald, red-faced, double-chinned, black-haired, have a deep voice, and wear glasses for reading".  Although, from studying C.S. Lewis I know that he tried to answer ALL of his fan mail (can you imagine that!).  Sometimes, however, he would employ his brother to help with the task.  It would be even funnier if that was his brother's reply in C.S. Lewis' name.

Anyway, me and Julie saw the Beauty and the Beast movie about 2 days ago.  It was amazing!  Loved it!
