Emma is going to help make changes in this world by using her celebrity status- people will hopefully listen to her because she raises such ridiculously crucial points. I am teaching my students in my class that everyone is equal. I teach my girls that they can do math and science. My student's dad is a huge proponent in students, specifically girls to participate in STEAM work. (Science, tech, engineering, art, math). The point she made about Tom Hanks being in movies by women directors-Big and League of Their Own, Sleepless in Seattle-these are some of both my guy and girl friends all time fav movies. This is an issue that is not male bashing. All we women do want is equality and like Emma said, to feel safe. Guys are definitely needed for HeForShe-this is the right way to go about doing things.
