I have often wondered what it would be like if a businessman was running the country, rather than a politician. Maybe a balanced budget? Ha! But Trump scares me. I think Clinton understands better how to get along with the rest of the world.

And no, individual votes won't matter until the electoral college is abolished. A couple hundred years ago it made sense, but not in today's world.

As a Brit, I see the options a bit like "You're going to be stabbed, but you can choose the knife!"

I personally feel that Hillary is a corrupt woman with a shady past and is universally loved by the establishment as they all know that there will be no change to the status quo with her as President. Trump is an out-and-out racist, has been bankrupt 4 times and has absolutely no regard for international relations, simply a populist with no real plan other than to build a wall and "make America great again".

I was backing Sanders, but hey, the establishment don't like him (much the same with Jeremy Corbyn back in Blighty) so he never had a look in.

Just my two cents.

Dook nailed it on the head. If you notice, during every presidential election, on the top of the screen or somewhere on the screen, whether you're watching it on television, or streaming it online, you will see the amount of electoral college votes that each candidate has, as well as how many they need to win the election (it is usually 270.) The general population is NOT part of the electrotal college, therefore our votes literally mean nothing.

My greatest concern is, if Clinton gets into office, she will start a war with Russia. It's really scary. Just look at what she did to Libya, look at Syria today.

And with that in mind, I'll finish with her words: "We came, we saw, he died *lol*".

'Check'is the position that the president-elect 🔠finds himself in. It's not 'check-mate' yet, but it's close. A foreign government stands accused of mounting a campaign of illegal hacking and leaks designed to help Trump get elected. Trump himself once said "Russia if your listening,...", during a rally. Donald hasn't been sworn in yet, but already his presidency is on the edge of a constitutional crisis, because allowing and encouraging spying and espionage could bring on an impeachment trial. Senator Lindsay Graham will hold hearings in 2017. If Trump's people lie and commit perjury while under Oath during the hearings it will be in the newspapers. Putin wants Trump to go to Congress and use the 45th presidency to make trade and business deals that will make the communist party in Russia rich. Putin also wants Trump to help end economic sanctions put in place by the EU, after Russia did things in the Ukraine. The Hearings will be on 📺 tv and interesting to watch.

Stardettes, why exactly would Putin want to make the Communist Party of the Russian Federation rich? Do you know that Putin is from the United Russia Party, which tends to implement policies of a centre-right to right wing nature; the CPRF polls second place in Russian elections, usually 30-40% less than the voteshare of United Russia. Putin has no wish to make the Communists rich.
