Danielle
I thought it would be good to have a thread of the best goals. I think that there are much better goals and I will post more later, but I'll start with two of my favourite goals for club and country... Joe Cole - Sweden v England Ricardo Fuller - Stoke City v Aston Villa

Danielle
Some brilliant goals here, love the ones by Mladen Petric... The Cruyff penalty was brilliant, I remember Thierry Henry and Robert Pires trying to re-create it for Arsenal a few years ago and totally making a fool of themselves. Lionel Messi v Getafe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=334syIMZAX0 Another from the legend Ricardo Fuller v West Ham
I am Not Purple
Nice goals. Ruud van Nistelrooy, he didn't score at a penalty and that one guy laughed in his face, so when he scored again he ran to that one guy and did that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJmlwTGyKaQ&feature=related
Danielle
^^ that was great, and a perfect example of over zealous refereeing.. Here are a few more from the first World Cup I watched... I am Not Purple
that was Roberto Carlos.. back in the 2000 i think... it's the impossible goal.. you cant score it from there lolYeah lol, normally a curling cross doesn't go into the goal by its self, a teammate heads it in. EDIT: Scientists said in 2010 that it was a very rare variant of the Magnus effect. They said that this was unique. Edited December 4, 2010 by W.V.B

Danielle
^^^ That's absolutely brilliant... I have just seen this goal by Matthew Burrows of Glentoran in Northern Ireland, which shows that moments of brilliance can happen even in the lower standard leagues... This has been nominated for FIFA's goal of the year.
I am Not Purple
Rafael van der Vaart when he was still playing for Hamburg. Edited December 21, 2010 by W.V.B
