Hype Or Admiration

Recommended Posts

Is it just me or is there an overanxious interest of young girls in the media. Maybe I missed something or was to busy over the last years but I can't remember such a hype (mainly young girls) about Harry Potter, especially Emma.

Don't get my wrong, I appreciate their good work such as the Fanning sisters, Chloe Moretz (HIT GIRL) or this girl from Mad Men(Kiernan Shipka) but I fear they burn out before they grow up. I wanted to post pictures of them in the first place but you can find out by your self and I'm sure I would have forgot hundreds of other child stars. so what you think about It?

From what i have read on child stars in my psychology books, it seems that they are so obessed with being a star when young that when they gain this dream that they completely miss out on a childhood.

Most child stars even dont go to school, which means they get homeschooled on set or home when they are not working. This removes the socialisation a child needs when growing up, and their form of socialisation is being around a bunch of hollywood crew members and cast. Their life is surrounded by being someone else on screen that they forget who they are.

Which in turn means that when they eventually hit the stage where they are confused with what they have done to themselves they often hide away from the limelight with all their money, often retire at the age of 21 just because they can. Or they continue to struggle to gain good parts, and they are only struggling because of the private life they have is plastered over the news.

Eg, Lyndsay Lohan, Kelly Osbourne, Vanessa Hudgeons, Miley Cyrus And as much as it pains me to admit, Britney Spears in 2007

However there are many exceptions to these^ a good family atmosphere and great friends and team around them make them not fall into the child star stigma. For example, Emma Watson, Jessica Alba,Shia labeof

Young stars are admired by people in general. All of us as kids had dreams of becoming a musician or and actor or the likes. But as clearly it didnt happen to most of us. So I think people live their dreams through these star kids. Thats why many become obsessed with them and their popularity increases. Its interesting to see how these kids attain such success as an early age. Most want to know how it happened, what did they miss.

Its just my opinion lol
