The Dude
I watched this On Demand a few weeks ago. It's one of those movies I'd heard about all my life. You know, it's one of those that's supposed to be a classic. It's a Stanley Kubrick film based on the book by Vladimir Nabokov. I haven't read the book. Although I'd like to. I'll probably go to the library and check it out - no need to buy it. The subject matter of the movie was pretty risqué at the time. Not to mention the book that came before it was even more so because it went into more detail. Have any of you seen the movie or read the book? What are your thoughts on it? Sizzler-Sister
Ive seen the movie and it´s one of my favorites. The theme is pretty risque but it´s not treated in a creepy way. I don´t know if I´m expresing correcty lol I think it´s a beautiful movie, the characters are very well played. Jeremy Irons is amazing, and Dominique Swain is the perfect Lolita. The Dude
I haven't seen the more recent one with Jeremy Irons. I would like to though.
Sizzler-Sister
Dumb me, you write Kubric. Either way, both movies are amazing. I like the Adrian Lyne best though. I have to read the book.

Luciana
I read the book, I liked it very much! Also, I saw the movie with Jeremy Irons and it's faithful to the book. I liked Dominique Swain as Lolita too.
