Explain why you do or don't I'm very open minded about everything. I'm not the type of person to say "Oh that's bullsh*t." But I do believe there are other creatures out in the Universe, but I don't think they will come here.And I think there are a lot of things we can't explain. Maybe not ghosts, I don't really know. I think it's fun and wanted to believe when I was a little kid because it's like the thrill of a good ghost story. But even then I think deep down I knew none of it was true. I kind of equate it with urban legends as they are always told as true and are fun, sometimes thrilling stories. Here's a link to what I mean by that: Urban Legends I believe in UFOs as flying objects that aren't or weren't identified. But as transportation for aliens, I don't believe it. Yeah, it would be fun if it were true and it's fun to imagine the possibilities but I just don't think it's true. I've heard people make the statement that "If we're the only ones in the galaxy then why did God go through all the trouble to make this vast galaxy? There has to be someone/something else out there." But really, what trouble did God go through? He spoke and it existed. No trouble at all really. And yes, I get the supposed irony of "You don't believe in ghosts or aliens but you believe in a God who spoke everything into existence?" Link to post Share on other sites

I believe that there are scientific reasons behind a lot of things which are unexplained, such as ghosts, we just don't know them yet. I also believe that somewhere out in the vastness of space there are other life forms. I'm sure there are some things about the paranormal we don't know about yet, perhaps one day we will find out. Not that I don't enjoy the stories and I'm very willing to be proven wrong as it would be totally cool to have a Yeti, a Bigfoot and a Monster of Loch Ness. Or to find Atlantis or El Dorado. I find it strange to say that I would be believe in UFO's because of what UFO's stand for: Unidentified Flying Objects. I'm sure there are a lot of Flying Objects I cannot identify so yeah. Do they have an alien origin? Probably not. That's to say that I do believe that there is life on other planets, what kind of life I don't know or don't want to guess, but it's not the space traveling kind. Link to post Share on other sites

Mr. Pumpkinhead Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) I'm inclined to believe in the possibility of other dimensions, and therefore I believe the possibility of aliens, and some of the myths and legends we've created increases dramatically. While I don't believe they would appear just as we've imagined them, I think they could exist in similar manifestations on other planets. So maybe a vampire type creature is out there, or something resembling what we call the Yeti or Abominable Snowman. Here too, I believe intelligent life may exist, most likely in another demension that we have not figured out how to cross into. I suspect they would conquer us if they had the technology to cross into ours. If UFO's exist, I tend to think of them more as time travel machines, and people from the future coming back to view history unfolding. Ghosts also seem like an interesting possibility that I do not choose to discount outright as I know some people whom I consider trust worthy who believe in them. I've NEVER seen any of these things mind you, but I'm certainly willing to keep an open mind regarding the possibility of their existance. And NO MATTER WHAT, they all exist on SOME level, because they exist in our imaginations at the very least, and who knows, maybe someday humans will possess the capability to turn their imaginations into reality. With all the technology we have today they could definitely find out if something like that lives below the surface. I would assume anything that large would show up on sonar.
