First Glimpse Of Spring 2011 People Tree Collection!

Recommended Posts

In what will be her third and final collection with the Fair Trade fashion brand the collection takes on a more mature look.

The main collection will officially launch on 28 February 2011 to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight and promoted through a special mail order catalogue with Emma Watson modeling throughout.

“I designed the collection last year after I’d started university in the US. Safia, People Tree’s founder, and Misato, People Tree’s designer, came out to work with me in Rhode Island. Together we decided on all the colours, fabrics, shapes and craft skills. Most of all, we took care to design a really wearable collection that truly celebrates the traditional skills of People Tree’s Fair Trade groups around the world.†said Emma Watson.

A preview collection of 9 styles goes on sale today featuring jersey harem pants, blazers and draped dresses as well as a striking silk gingham check dress and a polka dot tea dress.

Keen to shed the goody-two-shoes image of her Harry Potter character Hermione Granger, the 20-year-old actress has opted for a music-festival vibe for her last spring/summer 2011 collection.

The above quote from the Telegraph

Apparently they haven't been paying attention. Emma has never said that she was eager to shed that image and has stated that she won't do some risqué scene or role in a movie just to move away from Hermione. She's also stated that she is very proud of that role and doesn't want people to forget her as Hermione.

Yeah, I'm probably reading too much into a little blurb about Emma's People Tree line. But I just hate when "news" organizations make statements like this as if they're fact.

I love Emma with more rock and roll style. She looks SO hot and edge here. Can't wait to see more pics from this section.

Oh, this old motorcycle is very cool, I want to see Emma riding on it LOL. The girl really strikes some 'i don't care' vibe in this pic. Just pretty cool!

@Dave, Emma won't do risque scene just to shed off Hermione image of course, but she'll definitely choose some very different roles in future to branch out on screen, like the role in MWWM. Speaking of the photoshoot, I think she will do the same. Like the newest Harry Crowder shoot, sophisticated and sexy, she's making her image away from old good school girl obviously. So I don't see anything wrong in Telegraph's review. They're just stating the truth. BTW, this pic isn't risque at all.

In an interview last year Emma said she would possibly stop making lines for People Tree as it was time-consuming, so hearing that this is the last one isn't that shocking. She will likely continue her relationship with them in some way though. Her line with Alberta Ferretti, which also comes out this year, will be donating the money it recieves to People Tree, so maybe that is how Emma will continue to support it.

She looks gorgeous as well. She really loves to show those sexy legs, does she?
