  1. As Prime Minister i would,

    - Bring petrol down below a pound a litre like in the good old days.

    - Tax Cigarettes and alcohol more heavily.

    - Build a few more prisons (might take longer than a week, but id implement it)- in doing this, the criminal justice system can lock more people away instead of giving them community orders.

    - Heating allowance for poor families and not just for the elderly.

    - Remove stamp duty for first time home buyers.

    - Sort the benefit system out, as i know a family who do not work because it means they are better off if they dont work due to all the benefits they get. If they both worked, they would have to pay all their rent/council tax/bills.

    - Tax the rich heavily.

Now that is a bloody good list of things, you should run for PM next election :P

  2. Going off topic here, but when it comes to paedophiles, the so called "Justice System" is totally messed up. Last year I was sexually assaulted by a, then, 16 year old boy. I kept it secret for about 6 months and then my parents found out and we reported it to the police. They found 5 child pornography videos on his laptop hard drive, 4 of the least serious class, and one of the most serious class. In questioning he admitted to 21 separate allegations of sexual assault. This paedophile lives about a mile down the road from me, he has not been given a prison sentence.

The police in the UK are bloody useless (this is coming from a boy who has wanted to be a police officer since the age of 3), so some stupid snooping legislation isnt going to make them any better. Another thing is, the News of the World have gotten into some deep shit over this exact matter, so if they arent allowed to listen in on Milly Dowler's voicemail, then why should MI6?

EDIT: Sorry about the ranting, just pisses me off.

  3. To be honest, I think that this is a bloody disgrace. You could go as far as saying that it contradicts Article 19 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the aforementioned article states: Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

If people hold extremist views, then they have the right to have those opinions, Governments cannot spy on people's every movement.

  4. Kinda resurrecting this topic, but today James Murdoch, son of Rupert Murdoch, quit as boss of BritshSkyBroadcasting (BSkyB). His reason: he "could become a lightning rod" for criticism of the satellite broadcaster. The Leveson Enquiry into the phone hacking at New International is still ongoing.

  5. For World Book Week (ages ago now) we had to dress up as something from literature/tv etc and go into school in costume, i went in as a Scenes of Crime Officer/Forensic Investigator, this is me in costume
