  1. I would say a research assignment on multiple sclerosis. Only my second year at uni and I had to put together a twenty page presentation on MS ranging from what it is to where the current research is. The thing that made it hard though was being so early in my scientific education and having to make the huge leap from textbooks to primary literature (journals and so on) and then present the information without compromising the content while still making it accessible to people who are listening to the presentation who didn't necessarily know anything about MS at all. I suddenly had a great deal of respect for the lecturers lol.

  2. I don't have particularly strong feelings either way to be honest, however my father is a presbyterian minister and I am a member of the church and my sister is gay and in a homosexual relationship. This has caused literally no problems in my household, actually that is not correct my sister seemed a bit miffed that no one cared about her sexuality. My father raised me with a pretty good spiritual and biblical education and he always taught me that sex is really not a big deal in terms of faith. Christianity is a faith of relationships and righteousness is about having right relationships with God and others. Who you have sex with is much less important than whether or not you love people. I don't particularly feel that homosexual relationships are sinful as what major christian authors really had a problem with was hedonistic, orgiastic sex and in that context homosexual sex for pleasure's sake is sinful but so too would extramarital sex purely to indulge ones desires be sinful. I won't quote scripture because I was raised to understand, not parrot.

As a general point I would like to say that we are not sinners because we sin, we sin because we are sinners and it is only through the grace of God that we can ever hope to truly change.
