  1. Ok, adult Snape and Reznor, no, other than the long black hair. JKR didn't describe Snape much other than long greasy black hair.

I didn't get into HP until CoS came out so I missed all the beginning stuff. I immediately thought of Elliot Marston though when I saw Snape, that same sneering voice.

  2. Thessalie, those are valid criticisms.

In years past we got many news tips from fans who saw some news and sent us an email or comment. As paparazzi pictures increased, people started going to other sites to see them, and the tips dried up. Today most of my "news tips" come from google alerts and while it is surprising sometimes how fast google picks things up, it's not as fast as a bunch of fans around the world. It also doesn't help that much of the news happens before I even wake up.

  3. I were logged in on the old forum for 2 years.

Then restarted it after 2 years iguess i used the same email on 2010 and as i tried to register new it told me its in use :)

Oops, I misread your post. You could have done a password reset to get back in the old account.

Yeah I've been going here since 2003 and have had to make so many accounts from them remaking the forums -_-

    Longer than I.

Yeah, I wish the forums hadn't restarted so many times. I think it would be interesting to read discussions from 10 years ago. :(

  4. I like the movie. Haven't read the books but will probably do that.

As for the film critics, I pay little attention to them. Most of them are full of themselves. I prefer to read "reviews" by "normal" movie goers, except for the fact that you really got to watch out for spoilers.

  5. IHW closed in January of last year, then reopened with new people about summer time. I think by November or December they had pretty much stopped posting updates. It is hard to compete with the "fan sites" that keep posting all the paparazzi photos and details of her private life, and maybe they just gave up.

In January the site stopped working completely and just gave an error message about a missing page. Just lately this has been replaced with a message about a new site coming soon.

  6. What I think:

Aronofsky talked about staying faithful to the story of Noah, but obviously he had to add a lot of details as the story itself is short. Racial groups didn't develop until after the flood according to other passages in Genesis. So, to answer the question “Hey, where are the black folks or people of color in the film?” you have to wait for the sequel.

  7. Critical questions are ok. Negative comments are ok. But asking questions that you think you already know the answer to is just trolling.

Ok, I'll bite on your questions. Obviously Emma has changed since 2005, but I think Emma has changed very little in her principles. She is still down to earth.

You mention upskirts etc. like she does that on purpose. Upskirts are a hazard of women wearing skirts. Of any length. Emma doesn't wear miniskirts. It is difficult to keep your legs clamped together and always enter/exit vehicles etc. to prevent it. The polite person looks away. The paparazzi takes a photo and sells it to the tabloids. Who is at fault? You mention strip clubs. Maybe she has been. Even once and the press will make it out like she's a regular.

Don't believe all the crap you see on hate sites. They may say they are not, but that's what they are.

  8. When it was first announced and people started tweeting questions I twitter-searched #AskEmma for a while. For every good question there were a bunch of "will you marry me", "can we go on a date", things like that. I imagine one of the hardest parts of the chat was finding questions she would answer amongst the flood of nonsense. It was a nice way to reach out to fans, except for the non-twitter people.
