  1. ^^ yeah but to transcend the life/death cycle you would have to brake the karma cycle. And that sounds pretty impossible to me, because we are always creating new karma.

Transcending life/death is one aspect of enlightenment, I think a very big part of it is transcending your 6 senses, the 6th one being your mind. Once you are no longer a slave to what you see, hear, smell, speak, taste, think..you start becoming enlightened because you see the world from a different perspective. You become more in touch with your higher self and God. You no longer judge everything, you are one with everything that happens, you flow with whatever happens around you because you are no longer a slave to your mind. You are no longer greedy, angry or anything that is negative. There is no good or bad, yin and yang, you're in the middle, in the perfect equilibrium of existence because you understand that everything just 'is', and you flow with it even when it doesn't go the way you planned it to. You learn and grow from the "bad" experiences. You see everyone as a brother and sister, as part of you, and as different personalities of you, and vice versa. You are in harmony with the universe and you truly experience what it is to love. You act through wisdom, and you start seeing the patterns of everything in life and the interconnectdness of humans and nature. You are very aware of energy and things are no longer only about you, but about everything and everyone else around you. Material things become mundane compared to the inner peace you experience. And this is only the tip of the iceberg.

  2. The catholic church is downright twisted and evil. I mean c'mon, even the pope says retarded things in public. What's more shocking is that people STILL don't question tradition. I'm not going to give my reasons as to why I not only think, but know that the catholic church is against God. There's plenty of information on the topic.

Anyway, I think all religions are against God. I don;t think the teachings are evil, but the concept of organized religion is. Spirituality is something so personal and unique. It shouldn't be be categorized, labeled or flaunted. It's so annoying when people are proud of their religion, it's so...wrong. :sweatdrop:

  3. Agreed, it will end due to man's idiocy. But then again, a meteor could just hit us at anytime and wipe most/all of us out, and I bet scientists totally won't be able to predict it. But yeah, life goes on.

  4. I went to London in July, it was rather interesting. Did all the tourist stuff and whatnot. The architecture is obviously insanely mind-blowing! I would hate to live there though, because i just prefer having beautiful nature around me than beautiful buildings. In comparison to my city, the air felt really dirty, the streets looked very dirty, and it's wayyy too crowded. I hate feeling rushed, and that's how I felt there lol.

I also went to parts of the English countryside and Oxford, and that was awesome, the people are very friendly there. :)

It was pretty exciting going on the underground, hahaha. And it was also exciting to see so many dudes in business suits everywhere, that's like a rare sight in cape town haha.

But what I generally don't like about Europe is that it feels so damn regulated and controlled, not that it's a bad thing, but in south africa, I feel a type of freedom I can't feel there. :king:

  5. ha my orientation was umm 5 years ago. i do remember skipping on most of it haha, but the one day i did go it was quite fun. don't worry, if anything you're just gonna meet loads of awesome people. :D
