    What would Harry and Ron say about Hermione being in Perks?

    Emma: Harry and Ron aren’t real people and I think that is confusing for people sometimes but I hope that Daniel and Rupert would like the film ! I am no longer playing the role of Hermione even though I love her dearly! I played her for so long of course it's going to be hard for people to detach me from her but I am Emma and an actress and I hope I have many different people's stories inside of me. If I am lucky Hermione will be just one of many female characters I will play during my career.

     

    The question itself sounds like one of those headlines Daily Mail articles always use. Hmmmmm...

    Hi Jo,

    spent last night with the "Biography" of Emma by David Nolan. 277 pages about the life of Emma. From beeing a baby up to summer 2011. I repeat my question: is this a official bio about Emma with her blessing (it is sometimes written in a style, you could think, she talked to the author) or is it an "unofficial" bio, with much imagination from the writer?

    It's not an official biography. If it were, it would have been announced before the book was made and released and Emma would have mentioned it. I don't think she'll be releasing any biographies in the near future as she is very private about her personal life(hence why she wants her fans to ask about her career her rather than anything personal).

    Hardly even an answer!! I admit I was actually pretty frustrated. Do we even know if she is officially involved yet?

     

     

     

    Del Toro already mentioned meeting with Emma with them planning on doing the film last year. So I thought it was already confirmed that at the very least Emma is attached to it currently. It's just that, as Jo said, it depends on when Del Toro is finished writing it. So basically the news is that he's apparently working on it now.

     

    I'm also glad that Emma answered that she hopes to take a shot at directing and producing. I think it would be awesome if she basically made her own movie by writing, directing, and acting in it, so that she can create a film that she would like to see and characters she would like to play, but aren't offered to her through other's scripts. I'm not sure if she would be interested in doing that someday, but it would be cool if she did.

    Hi everyone,

    Thank you SO much for your comments/suggestions/questions, i've now met with Emma and it seemed to go pretty well :) she has answered some of the questions that were asked on here and hopefully we will be filtering those through the webisite along with some other updates and changes over the coming months.

     

    Please feel free to keep suggestions and questions coming, i'm hoping to keep the interesting questions rolling into her. (tip) your question is more likely to be anwsered if it is related to her work on film. ;-)

    Thank you for taking the time to work on the site as well as give us these updates and let us participate. I'll continue to think of suggestions to help out EWO and some questions for Emma that might interest her(rather than the same old ones over and over again. :P).

     

    By the way, Emma mentioned on facebook that her official site was one of many sites attacked yesterday which was resolved shortly afterwards. When did the meeting take place and was this mentioned during it?

     

     

    Anyway once again thank you for updating us and letting us help out, and it's always great to hear from you. :)

    Suggestions, Questions for Emma's Official site

    Hi Jo. It's been quite a while since we've heard from you.

     

    Here are some suggestions for Emma's official site I have.

     

     

    - Changes for messages.

     

    One issue with the official site is that the messages only allow a certain amount of words, making it very difficult to leave complete messages. This is more of an issue for me since I tend to leave longer messages and responses to updates and messages from Emma. Even on twitter unlike most people I tend to use up several tweets for a single response :P. I prefer to get a full response through that Emma can read and understand rather than try to cram everything in one brief message. I imagine it would make messages more interesting for Emma to read. While she has other accounts to leave messages on such as twitter and facebook, it would be great to improve on this one as well.

     

     

    - Character introductions

     

    Recently Emma "introduced" us to Nicki, the character she will be playing in the Bling Ring on her twitter account. I think it would be interesting if Emma did something similar with other characters she played. Maybe writing a message in character, or perhaps even a short video message with her in character on set(if it's allowed), in order to give a sneak preview of what to expect for her future projects.

     

     

    - More old "never before sceen" pictures and footage.

     

    As you know the official site in the past had pictures Emma's father took over the years posted on it of Emma working on the Harry Potter films. It would be nice if Emma posted more stuff like that, and not just with Harry Potter, but other projects and events as well if she has anything like that, whether they be pictures or videos. Of course this is for only the stuff Emma is comfortable with showing.

     

    I'll think of some more, but pretty much everyone already addressed things I would like to see, such as more updates on her site either by Emma or yourself, more information on Emma's interests, personal touches and graphics, etc. Of course you guys should ONLY do what is reasonable and what you can actually do, not go overboard trying to appease every one. These are suggestions, not demands after all :P.

     

    Questions for Emma:

     

    1) I've heard that you would love to write a novel someday. If so what would it be about? Who would the characters be?

    2) Would you play a character in a film adaptation of the aforementioned novel? Who would you cast for it?

    3) What types of characters would you love to play?

    4) What has been your favorite role so far?

    5) What has been the most interesting thing you have learned at university?

     

     

    I'll try to think of some more before the time expires. I hope all is well with you and your family and good luck to you in your meeting with Emma. Be sure to put in the good word for me and tell her I love her and wish her good luck at the MTV Movie Awards.

    New Role for Emma with David Yates

    I too wish David and his family all the best, and hope complete health is restored soon.

     

    IMO Emma will drop out too in solidarity with David. No Yates/No Watson. The main purpose of her doing this movie, was

    to reunite with Yates. David has his priorities in order-FAMILY FIRST. It's too

    bad the writers/producers are so damn greedy. :angry:

     

     

     

    They obviously never heard of PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE--ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT.

     

    I highly doubt Emma only got involved in this film because Yates was directing it in order to have a "Harry Potter reunion". She most likely took the part because she wanted to play Emma Forrest as she feels that it will be an great role for her. Yates being the director was most likely a bonus as she would have been working with someone she worked with in the past and whom she ws used to. The whole "Harry Potter reunion" hype was mainly by the media.

     

    I doubt she will walk away from the film just because Yates left. She may even be excited to work with a new director(which they hopefully find soon)

    As mentioned on the main site, Emma has posted some more tweets on her twitter account, including one confirming that she will present the Perks of Being a Wallflower trailer at the MTV Movie Awards pre-show.
