  1. Okay, I have been searching for a pic of the R/Hr kiss and I seem to be too dumb to find one. I've found gifs and vid, but not a pic. Could someone please PM me a link?

No worries, I'll wait another couple of days before I use it as my siggy. :)

  2. Oh NOOOOO. Luciana, don't feel depressed. It's good that you have heard about the camera angle and other things before, so you know what not to expect. You were prepared. I was prepared. And I LOVED THE KISS. It is wonderful. It is the best, most genuine, heartfelt, romantic, sweet, lovable, passionate in its own way, kiss of the Harry Potter series.

I mean, think about it, when you see people snogging somewhere, you rarely see the lip action. Most of the time one of their heads blocks the view. And you wouldn't walk up to them to look closely either, would you? Because it's first and foremost an INTIMATE moment. And that's what THE KISS is too. :D

  3. I figure Kristen has seen the movie by now? ;)

I have to reiterate: I LOVE THE KISS

Yes, you don't see lip action from this angle, but that's not the most important thing anyway. It looks like a passionate full on snog and the feelings that come across the screen are so deep and real and true. :ohyeah:

  4. David Yates talked about deleted scenes. And here is one I'm sure ALL of us would've like to see in the movie. I hope they'll include it at least on the DVD:

Yates: There's an extended scene on the beach with Ron disguised before he gets to the bank and a lovely interchange between him and (Hermione).

David oh David. Why have you betrayed us R/Hr shippers again. *sigh*

  5. I too have only read good reviews of the movie so far. It's absolutely okay to voice one's concern, Dude. We all love HP and care a lot for a worthy conclusion to the series.

I have seen the movie yesterday, and I have to say: It is.. I love the movie, it's really a good one. I don't know if it's really a bad thing when the end come to fast. Doesn't that just show that the movie isn't overlong, dragged out or boring? I felt thoroughly entertained, engaged and moved the whole time. In all honesty, I could have done without the epilogue. The scene right before that would have been a good and fitting ending, IMO. I won't say what it was, not to spoil it for those who haven't seen the movie yet, but it wasn't fast or rushed. They did hold breath for a minute and dwell on the scene. I loved it. And throughout the movie we get calmer moments when the characters get their due. And with the exception of Oliver Wood and I think Dolores Umbridge, we get to see all of the characters again. At least once.

I don't think any of you has to worry, I would be astonished if you disliked the movie. :)

  6. There IS feeling behind it. At least that's how I saw it. And the Prince's Tale is really done superbly.

This is what Entertainment Weekly wrote about THE KISS in their online review:

Ron and Hermione kiss like adults — then giggle with surprise like children

  7. I agree rupert&emmagrint. I've seen the movie yesterday and I have to say I'm extatic. I LOVE the movie. It is really a good one. A memorable and worthy finale of the Harry Potter saga. I didn't cry though. Not even at the moments I had expected to. I got teary eyed twice. First when we see Dobby's headstone at the beginning of the movie and later when the Weasleys are gathered around Fred's body. Then Harry sees Lupin and Tonks lying dead in the Great Hall. Some fans complained we don't get to see them fight and die, but it was a very poignant moment.

The Prince's Tale was done terrifically although a friend of mine who has read the book complained it was too confusing and my brother who HASN'T read the book even thought for a moment it was hinted that Snape was Harry's dad. LOL Star Wars Reloaded or what?

I could go on with a movie review but this is the Ron and Hermione thread so I know what you guys want to hear.

    I. LOVE. THE. KISS. And that's saying something considering how much of a canon-purist I am. I won't lie, it's not how I imagined but I sort of expected that in advance, so everything's fine. I am a bit .. disappointed isn't the right word.. I think astonished puts it best... that of all camera angles Yates could have chosen from, he decided to take one in which Ron's head blocks all the lip action. Seeing the final product, I get a bit annoyed with Emma and Rupert (don't worry, love them to pieces) for complaining over and over again how awkward it was and how wrong it felt. For all we know from watching the scene they could have just kissed each other's cheek. Although it definitely looks like a kiss on the mouth. No worries. :) However. THE KISS itself was forceful, spontaneous, passionate in its own way, cute and funny. And what's most important it was absolutely REAL and HEARTFELT. It doesn't compare to the H/Hr-locket-kiss in that the FakeHarry/Hermione kiss was just some distorted, unreal, shallow snogging meant to disconcert poor Ron, while the Ron and Hermione kiss was LOVE. THE KISS didn't get any cheers in the theater, but one huge "AWWWWWWW" and some "finally"s. I am sure ya'll be as happy with it as I am. :D

  8. I'm not deserting it. I think it's only Kristin who is. :)

Woot, woot. Great, Hermione. So we can go on discussing the awesomeness that is Ron/Hermione.

Ron's head blocks most of it though. But don't worry it's a lot more passionate then any of the Harry/Ginny kisses.

That's not much of a feat though. Considering that Harry/Ginny kisses have been not passionate at all. LOL I hope Ron's head, much as I love it, doesn't conceal everything. I hope we get so see at least a little bit of lip locking.
  9. What does that mean, you're all deserting this thread? I can understand the fear of being spoiled. I promise not to use a pic of THE KISS as my siggy unti everyone of you has seen the movie. I have to get my hands on a good pic of it first anyway. It's almost a miracle it hasn' t leaked yet. I don't think the video game kiss is comparable to the real thing. It will be different. Much better.

Jon, I'm glad you're back. I was beginning to worry.

Now, tomorrow I'll be watching the movie. Where can I go then to discuss? Should we set up a specific thread to discuss Ron and Hermione in DH2 for those who have seen the movie?

  10. I'm really getting nervous. Three days and I'll be watching the movie. Bad thing is, every time I'm in the cinema, as soon as a film starts, I feel the need to go to the bathroom, although I have just gone before the movie starts. Really it's ridiculous. I can sit through a day at work for 9 hrs without going to the bathroom, but once in the cinema seat when I know I could miss something... Last time for DH1 I waited until Ron left and hurried, but I almost missed the Graveyard scene with Harry seeing his parents' grave for the first time. My nightmare: I'll miss THE KISS. :lostit:

Another question: As soon as the movie is released officially clips and pics will show up and I'll be getting my signature pic of THE KISS. But maybe some of you might not yet have seen the movie and I don't want to spoil it for any of you. How long should I wait?

  11. Uh no -it was actually this as our reaction: :whaa::0_0: then it was.... then it was... :yesyes::ohyeah:

I think thats how our reactions went ;)LOL...I had a dam break during Rupert's speech :( The moment was so BEAUTIFUL their speeches!!!!!

Ha ha, exactly. Well, they kind of had a room already. The Chamber of Secrets, but of course that's not really the right environment to celebrate your new-found love. ;)

Isn't it great how EVERYONE loves Ron and Hermione. I've spent years online reading posts by Harmonians claiming how everyone loves H/Hr and how R/Hr will ruin the whole series. This comes as such a satisfaction.

  12. Laura, it is amazing that you had such a great time. Thanks for the pics and the report. I watched the premiere on livestream. To be honest, in comparsion to HBP and DH1 it was a bit underwhelming. Maybe it was just a tad TOO huge. The atmosphere during the aforementioned premieres was a bit more intimate and better, IMO. And we got to see much more of the stars, not just them walking up to the stage and give interviews. We saw them signing and giving interviews to the various stations and press people. And we got to see the trio together. But the big moment at the end with the producers, Yates, Jo and the trio made up for that.

I bawled like a baby. First Emma trying to laugh away her tears and you could see Jo trying keep her emotions in check. Then Rupert thanking Jo for doing so much for gingers and telling Emma and Dan how much he loved them. That's quite something for a bloke to profess out loud infront of millions of people. Especially for such a reserved bloke like Rupert. That was when Jo's dam broke.

After Rupert's speech he and Emma hugged and when Jo spoke Emma put her arm through Rupert's and lay her head on his shoulder briefly. That was such a cute moment and I was thinking of all our lovely R/E shippers here. You certainly did :ohyeah:

  13. Phew, thanks Luciana for reassuring me that it's not THE KISS. it looked really authentic. I didn't look to closely in case it was the real one so I didn't recognize that it was Rupert from CB.

One week. :D In one week's time I'll be sitting comfily in the cinema and watch DH 2.

Tomorrow will be the world premiere in London. I'll be heading home from work early to catch the live stream. I'm afraid I will still be too late for our three leads though. They likely will already be there.

Will anyone of you be watching?

  14. Oh my lovely fellow HeRos, please don't let yourself put down by some jealous H/Hr and D/E shipper who isn't mature enough to admit they were wrong and just go someplace else and enjoy their fanon-ship with thinkalikes.

My anticipation for the kiss can't be diminished by unauthorized hearsay like that. I've seen a short clip of a press conference with Rupert and the twins on DH promo tour in Madrid. And when the press asked about THE KISS and Rupert reiterated how uncomfortable it was since Emma is like a sister to him, the twins started ribbing. One said something like "well, it certainly looked like you enjoyed it" and the other said "it was a long one [kiss]". And the three had just seen a DH2 screening that very morning. :ohyeah:

  15. It's NOT THE KISS, Kristen. It's not. I made sure to read the comments on Leaky if they had shown the kiss, but when people wrote it's not in the clip (which would indeed have been the stupidest thing to do really), I watched it. It looks great. Very creepy atmosphere. The CoS looks even better than in CoS. I mean the second movie, LOL. And our favourite couple is just amazing throughout. Oh dear and to imagine that must be minutes, seconds before it finally happens. 12 days. I already preordered my tickets. :D

  16. I was thinking of Tom Riddle, because they went to Hogwarts at about the same time. Although I think Minerva is a few years older than him. But Young Tom was supposed to be good-looking and charming, so it could've been possible. On the other hand, Minerva is a true Gryffindor, and considering the age-old rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin, I have a hard time imagining Minerva to fall for a Slytherin.

I've never heard about it being a muggle, but it def. sounds interesting. Maybe he couldn't handle the fact that she was a witch and had powers he hadn't. :( Poor Minverva.

Oh, and I almost don't dare to hope for addtional Ron and Hermione stuff. Of course I would love love love to learn what the two were up to when Harry wasn't around. During summers when Hermione arrived at the Burrow before Harry did, during their prefect rounds at Hogwarts, when they were in Hogsmeade in third year when Harry wasn't allowed to go. What I am most dying to learn is facts from directly after the war. When did they get engaged? When did they marry? Who proposed? Where did they get married? Was Hermione's muggle family involved? Where do they live? When exactly were their children born? Questions over questions. And can you imagine in 17 days we'll be watching THE KISS?

  17. Would we have the same television previews in the States as you do in Germany Sabine? I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure where to describe it placement wise, as I've only seen this newest preview twice and I don't have it recorded. >.< I was just jumping to conclusions about R/Hr being in the Chamber of Secrets in the scene I saw, as both were wet.

I have no idea about the tv spots, Jon. Believe it or not, I haven't been able to catch one single spot or trailer on tv yet. My brother told he'd seen one though. Idk. But I was thinking more along the lines if you know where to find it on Youtube or some other site. :D

As for Ron and Hermione in the Chamber of Secrets, did that look like in this photo ?

    My link

And have you seen this? OMG, just look at George *bawls*

    My link

As to your second comment, well it wouldn't hurt any of you to say it a little more often! :puh: *sniff, sniff* *rubs eye* but thanks! :D

    You're welcome. :)

As to the Pottermore thing. I know nothing about it yet, although I've heard the name (probably read it here) so I'll definitely have to look into it and get back to you. :P Yeah.... sorry that was no help whatsoever Sabine! >.<

I finally managed to submit my email address yesterday. Pottermore is an interactive HP website designed in close cooperation with JKR herself. Users will go through book after book, gain excessive additional information on places, artefacts, magical creatures and items, characters et al. A lot of the background information JKR had but never actually incorporated in the books. You can go to these places virtually, buy wands, attend Hogwarts and such. It will have a forum, chat room and I think it will also have challenges, games and competitions. One thing we will learn for example is about a tragic love story Minerva McGonagall had when she was young. (Please God, Merlin and JKR, don't let it be Tom Riddle *shudder* )
  18. I loved the little moment in the last tv trailer when Ron and her Hermione were soaking wet in the Chamber of Secrets and Ron says something like... "that didn't sound good". I have a feeling this is right after the kiss. :lostit:

Which spot is that from? I'm a bit out of the loop lately, because real life doesn't allow me as much online time as I'd like to. And with Criminal Minds, I have another obsession, so it's not easy to keep up with everything that's happening.

I can't believe all the  going on from the ladies here! Get a grip women! lol :rolleye::P
Oh, Jon. But you know we love you too. No need for jealousy . ;)

I also can't believe that the movie is nearly upon us now. I think I've been in denial not wanting it all to end.

Three weeks!! It's only three weeks. And I got my OotP and HBP Ulitmate Edition DVDs today. So that is what I will be doing on the weekend. Watch the DVDs. :D

    Welcome to the forum, Stephani.

ETA: Forgot to ask. What do you guys think of this Pottermore thing. Sounds fascinating, but the site just won't let me submit my email-address. It's the overwhelming demand. Oh, well, I guess I'll try later.

  19. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't seen the new trailer yet, I'm downloading it right now, but that bit with R/Hr is *cries* so heartbreaking (ly beautiful).

I've seen the clips on snitchseeker too. All I can say is, Ron and Hermione certainly like to hold on to each other a lot during the movie from what it looks like. :D

  20. How could I have missed that? Oh my, real life is really taking up a lot of my time. :) I've never even heard about clues being given out. I only stumbled across this information via a friend's Facebook site. It's not a book, but I think it will be a huuuge site with interactive game, RPG, online shops for merchandise, forums et al. ... The ultimate Harry Potter website so to speak.
