Umm... it rather seems like that's what you're reading into it. If that statement was made by any random person, no one would think it to be indicative of some studious zeal. She acknowledges that finals are coming up, and she's preparing for them. I didn't expect less of her. But with her attitude nowadays, I also don't expect more.

To someone unfamiliar with Emma's CV, that must sound like she had been absent from uni, or had postponed her studies, for a couple of years (consecutively), for no specific reason other than movies.
Anyways, my point is that nowhere in the interview did she try to make a case for the importance of studying.

Yes, but the author put it in a way where it sounds like she was gone for years from university on a whim, but Emma seemingly didn't protest.

? Emma only says that she's been studying recently and taking breaks watching TV. She doesn't even correct the interviewer when she says Emma has taken "years off" from studying.Take that THOSE that say EMMA doesn't pay any attention to her studies!

If it's better than other interviews it's because the author/ editor wasn't exactly choosy about what to use. Emma seems to have this habit of hiding personal insights in a long wall of text.

welp, there was a small blurb of an interview with Emma on German TV. I'm really fond of how she handles herself at Cannes, she comes across as fresh and unpretentious.

She is arguably not smiling at the paps, but hey. Maybe in a few years from now, when she's realized that pulling an annoyed face is actually more exhausting than smiling or even looking blasé.
I like the dress. With the figure and face she now has, tight and sporty is the way to go.

I actually read that piece by Neiers yesterday. She really thinks the Bling Ring warrants serious examination in a documentary-style film, rather than getting that everyone understands what their motives were and now we only want to be amused by movie that exploits the banality of their acts and personalities.
