After all these months on the awards trail, are you ready to finally get back to reality?

Yeah, we’re going to start shooting [the musical romantic comedy "La La Land"] in September or October. I’m definitely ready to get back to real work. You start to really feel a little weird when you’ve spent this long talking about work you did in the past and not about work you’re doing in the present. I’m really excited to make something else.

Movies.com: Have you already started trying to figure out how to choreograph everything?

Chazelle: We've been sort of choreographing for the past few months, and then tentative rehearsals will start up in the summer as we get closer to shooting in the fall. It's a very dance heavy movie, and I want to shoot the dance in long takes and wide so you can really see the dancers, and that definitely puts a big burden on the rehearsal process.

  2. Production on Beauty is supposed to start in May.

If they stay on that schedule, I think she would have enough time to begin prep/rehearsals by Aug/Sep. (if you ignore Regression commitments)

I do like that he used the word "finalizing", though. Makes it sound like he might be expecting it to work out, as opposed to starting over fresh with different casting.

  3. Kind of hard for anyone else to get that without reading Austrian media.

It would have been clearer if you actually cited your obscure reference that nobody else here would ever understand otherwise.

"Now that he's had a taste of acclaim, Chazelle is trying not to let it mess with his head as he gears up to start shooting "La La Land" in the fall, with Teller once again starring."

So they pushed to fall, which could mean they are trying to accommodate her schedule, or are buying time to find a replacement.

It's still possible, but with both Regression and Colonia coming out in the fall, I just don't see her being able to do the press tours alongside this type of production.

"Emma Thompson will play a little teapot, short and stout, complete with handle and spout.

The Oscar-winning actress is in negotiations to play Mrs Potts, the housekeeper turned into a teapot, in the live action film version of Disney’s Beauty And The Beast.

The kindly Mrs Potts helps Belle, the tale’s heroine, sort out her romantic entanglements. Emma Watson will star as Belle.

Director Bill Condon has been working with composer Alan Menken about which songs from the 1991 animated movie will feature in the new picture.

I suspect all of them, because they've become popular classics."
