  1. God, I wish I was just a couple of years younger, I would literally order everything from that collection! The dresses are so girly, I love them, but they seem too flirty and/or have too short hems to be worn at work.

I ordered the rose necklace tee-shirt, not my favourite piece, but definitely the most wearable yet "original" design (the plain tee-shirts are just, well, too plain).

I really liked the funky Union Jack tee-shirt and the black playsuit, but... *sigh* Bring on "Pure Threads" now, the older fans are impatiently waiting!

  2. Same here lol

Specially when Serena does the same mistake again and when the guys guys get so influenced with the so called villians of the show.

    I hate Juliet

I used to like Jenny but now I cant stand her

The fact that makes me cringe is that they all had slept/or will sleep with each other or everybody lol

    I agree with you!

Serena - how many men has she dated/slept with? And she's not even 20 yet! That girl has major Daddy issues.

Jenny - it's the same storyline every season. Good Jenny is influenced by mean girls and turns into Bad Jenny, but then Brooklyn Dad makes her realise that deep down she's Good Jenny. Don't they think viewers can tell it's the fourth time they're filming the same story? BO-RING. Oh and I don't care how grunge she thinks she is, but Taylor whatever needs to put pants on.

Everybody sleeping with everybody. It's so ridiculous. In no normal group of friends would people all sleep with each other and swap boyfriend/girlfriend every three months with people keeping on interacting, let alone being friends. I cringed when Blair said to Jenny that "Serena and Nate were legend". Or when Serena told Nate "me too" when he told her he had been waiting for years to be with her, when in the previous episode she was having an affair with his cousin!

God, that show is ridiculous, but I love it.

    Please help!

  3. I really like them! Used to be a big fan... I loved Full House, Two of a Kind and So Little Time. I've seen all their TV movies (not that great) and NYM is my favourite "bad" movie LOL

I think it's amazing they managed to reinvent themselves so many times, from child stars to teen queens to respected fashion designers. I'll admit they're not the best actresses, but boy they're a force to reckon with when it comes to business!

  4. Yeah, I'll probably just do that. But I wonder what my father will say when I tell him, "Can you take me to blockbusters? I want to watch Ballet Shoes."

Trust me, the movie is worth the embarrassment with your father. Also, it's perfect for the holiday (or post-holiday) season. Really sweet family movie.

  5. pretty much same situation and I can't find people tree anywhere in my country ether

I was annoyed at the prospect of paying a ridiculous postage fee, but then I asked somebody I know in the UK whether they could get it for me - they said yes and I got the package the next time I went to London. I am aware it might not be an easy option, but I'd recommend you look into it if you have good, reliable friends in the UK :)

  6. Brilliant videos..... Thanks for posting them

The Scientist is such a beautiful song and that was a great performance, I thought the Fix You video was awesome.

Like you I have Coldplay on my phone too, Life in Technicolour II is my ringtone while an instrumental of 'Viva la Vida' wakes me up every morning, a great way to start the day.

This has got to be one of the best music videos ever....

Great music video! Very original and lol @ that moment where the song goes "and my feet won't touch the ground" :P

Thanks for posting, Dazza and Vida!

  7. to me it would seem kind of strange to go upto a fellow student and ask for their autograph

I know, it'd feel odd! I mean, at the end of the day, when you ask somebody for an autograph (and trust me, I have on numerous occasions), you kind of put them on a pedestal while you put yourself down a little bit. I don't know if that makes sense. Anyway, what I wanted to say is that I wouldn't want to publicly put a fellow student, who's going to be around for four years, on a pedestal, no matter how much I admire them. If you are both freshers in college, then you're equals when it comes to being a student and that's what matters.

  8. Could somebody make a signature that says "RESPECT" for me, with this picture?

And if you also have time for a wallpaper with these two pictures, I would be eternally grateful :)

(If the pictures are too small and inconvenient, that picture will do: http://www.emmamedia.net/displayimage.php?album=553&pos=1)

    THANK YOU.

  9. I need suggestions of Xmas movies to watch with my family on Xmas Eve... We've already seen Love Actually countless times, as well as The Family Stone, The Holiday, Miracle on 34th street and It's a wonderful life.

Any other idea? I was thinking of Scrooge, has anybody seen it?

  10. We can't have a music section without a thread on one of, if not the most influential bands in history... The Beatles.

I am a massive fan and while they are not my favourite band, I probably have more Beatles albums than from any other artist. When you look at almost any band today and over the past 40 years and see who their influences are, almost all of them list The Beatles, no matter what genre they are in. It is really quite incredible.

I think that their music was really ahead of their time and they brought on a new era in rock and roll. Their legacy will live on for a long time to come and people will still be talking about The Beatles long after we have been and gone in the same way that people will still be talking about Mozart and Beethoven.

It's easy for me as I don't live too far away but if ever you get the chance to visit Liverpool, you have to check out 'The Beatles Story' museum, it really does hit you the impact they had on music at the time and how iconic the band really are.

Although I love them all, my favourite songs include 'Let it Be', 'Hey Jude', 'A Day In The Life', 'Penny Lane' and 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds'.

Do we have any fans here?

I'm not even remotely close to being a fan like you are - you probably know much more about The Beatles and are able to appreciate them in a way I never could attain but of course their songs have touched me.

I always go back to "Let It Be", I think you can always get something from that song, in good and bad times. It's timeless and somehow always relevant to what you're going through. A masterpiece.

"Penny Lane", "Lucy in the Sky with the Diamonds", "Strawberry Fields Forever"... *sigh* Such classics. Gotta love them.

  11. Sorry I couldn't post this in the same post but it's an amazing performance as well so here you go:

    The Scientist:

    (beautiful in Glasto)

  12. I love Coldplay! I find songs like "The Scientist", "In my place", "See you soon" and, of course, "Fix you" very soothing. And, even though they're quite a big departure from their original style, I really like "Viva la vida" and "Lost" (the Jay Z version - that's actually my cell phone ring lol).

    A few memorable performances:

    In My Place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lqbmim2hsI4

(I dig it when Chris Martin goes "And I like it, I like, I like it I like it... li-li-li-li-like it, rocking all over the world, rocking all over the world")

    Fix You:

(messing up at MSG but making it SO right)
