@Jon, you got your back in the end! It'll be interesting to read your thoughts as a H/Hr shipper, as well as Sabine's and Alex's. With the quality of thought that the three of you display in your daily posts, it'll be very informative to see how you'd use your verbiage to defend the other ship. I hope that all your own ideas remain within this thread though.

That's one of the reasons why the next round of promos will be so interesting... when they finally get to talk about their scenes together as R/Hr - and after some time from their onscreen kiss has passed (last year they had just finished filming The Kiss). I think it will be very intersting to see where they are standing in regards to each other, at that point in time.

I'm sorry but I did not understand the 'as well' part. I felt the need to apologize as you felt offended when I said 'some H/Hr shipers' (when you already explained that you are not anymore). And lastly, I agree with you in regards to the 4th book. I only became a R/Hr shipper then. Up to that point, we only knew that Ron liked Hermione (but we didn't know if those feelings were reciprocated).

Well, it obviously is allowed. But it is also expected that most people here will defend their reasons for shipping them.

Well I see, my friend, that you have a selective memory then. I think it's ok to reply to a certain part of a post when the author refers to different topics and one only wants to address a certain point. But I don't think it's OK just to use a specific sentence and leave the rest of it left out. I never said something to you especifically, but I'm sorry to hear that you felt alluded. Please don't feel offended by this, as I am not referring to you, but some H/Hr shippers tend to stress out how important is the third movie for them, but they never mention the book.

well, you will find that here, in the R/E shipper thread, most of us will find them attacted to each other 'romantically'.

I don't pray but will be glad if they some day are involved romantically. As far as I am concerned, they do feel something beyond friendship for each other, as Luciana also pointed out. But only time will tell.

I think you missed the part where I said 'some H/Hr shippers'. As far as I'm concerned, that is NOT a generalization.

Exactly my thoughts, Luciana. That's why I took so long to become an active R/E shipper. Once I was fully conviced of their mutual attraction in interviews, videos and photos, I started posting.

I apologise as I missed your post earlier, Sabine. Excellent, as always. I truly think the person who wrote this article reads our forums. Why would she come up with such a comment about Emerson Spartz calling H/Hr shippers delusional when that's so old news. He did it in 2005! Come on!!! I remembered it was big news at the time, with JK Rowling (reluctantly) agreeing with him. Noooo! It's ok, for me at least... I guess some of us have already experienced that back in the time. Nothing will be changed. H/hr shippers will continue to ignore everything that is good in R/Hr. Unfortunately.

Maybe just try hanging out with the other ship for a bit... lol And then your brain will take it no more and you'll come back begging us to detach you from those whingers who simply can't accept (or worse, understand) the fantastic relationship that JKR built with R/Hr because, in their own words, the 'hero' is the one who takes 'the girl'. I know your question was directed at cbmac, Jon, but I'd like to make a comment about it as you've asked such a good question! I really can't recall a time where Emma has gushed about Dan as she usually does with Rupert. Once she starts talking about The Grint, she can't help but to keep talking about him... and then the praising continues to escalate the more she speaks. IMO it's very clear how differently she feels for the two boys. She mentions that she hangs out with Dan to 'gossip' and eat M&Ms while watching a movie, while she'd snuggle up in Rupert's sofa. WOW! I mean... WOW!

I completely agree. If they are together and just avoiding publicity, I hope it lasts for a bit longer. I love R/E enough for to wish their lives to remain private (but I hope we get confirmation that thewy are dating one day, though, after HP is over). OMG! You are right! When this article came out I mentioned that the fact that she said 'I won't tell you who he is as it will be unfair to others' makes me think it's someone everyone (even her ex-boyfriends) will easily recognise, hence someone really famous.

I absolutely agree. Neville, even when overlooked, is quite important very early on. I compare him to Ron in the sense that neither of them were very confident about their own abilities at the beginning of the series. However, both boys grew up to become heroes as the story thickened. Neville is so important that, by the end of the series, he is a Professor at Hogwarts - and we know that not many people are qualified enough to become such (except for Lockhart, perhaps ).
