    ~ Camera <3

    ~ Music collection

~ Book collection (Mainly my HP books!)

    ~ Movie ticket collection

~ CD's and posters signed by my fav band

    ~ Green jacket

~ Stuffed tiger that I've had forever and a day

    ~ "Love" necklace

I don't think I have a favorite animal, there are so many I love but if I had to say; Dogs.

Favorite countries: Australia, England, and France but I have unfortunately not been to any yet.

Favorite Holiday: considering I haven't been many places, I'd honestly have to say when I go up to Waterville Valley in the fall. It's absolutely gorgeous up there.

  3. So true. I was rereading an interview the other day and Emma was describing her relationships with Dan and Rupert. I wish I could remember which article it was now. I'm too lazy and it's too late for me to look it up now, perhaps another time.

Anyway, she said something to the effect of Dan was always the one she could turn to. When she needed to talk, when she had a bad day or a rough time she could talk to him. She said some of the most interesting conversations she's ever had were with Dan.

She said Rupert made her laugh and when her spirits needed lifting she would go to Rupert to make her laugh. Pretty much like the character he plays, comic relief. I'm not trying to be disparaging toward Rupert, it's just that in her own words she seems to have a deeper and closer relationship with Dan.

I saw this interview, or tidbits of it anyway. She does seem to have a closer relationship to Daniel than she does to Rupert. I know the three of them are the best of friends but at the end of the day Emma would probably go to Daniel before she went to Rupert if she needed something. But that's just how it sounded in the article.

Just read the article that was posted above. Excellent article that makes plenty of salient points. The evidence that this article puts forth is overwhelming.

I really don't have a problem with R/Hr, I just wish that Jo Rowling and the film makers would have sold it better. I really feel like I had the old bait and switch pulled on me. Because in the earlier books it really felt things were leaning toward H/Hr. Then after it was made clear in the books that it would be R/Hr I wanted to believe in it but Jo, and later the films, never gave me anything solid to hold on to. It was more like "they're in love because Jo says their love."

Well you see the thing was. Jo knew how she wanted her books to end when she first started writing them, which is always fine but when you're writing a series you have to make sure you're flexible and willing to change things. Like I said in a previous post while Ron and Hermione always had that close relationship, that if it was written better like you said, would have been more seen as "I think I like you" rather than "you're on overprotective brother/sister" relationship. And Harry liking Ginny just sprouted out of nowhere. So when instead of going the way the books were going... toward H/Hr, Jo had to recoil a bit and make it more pronounce that Hermione and Ron had a thing for each other and Harry had a thing for Ginny... but at least Ron and Hermione always sort of had that relationship, unlike Harry and Ginny.

The first paragraph is quite romantic :D

    Here's a manip I made:

Apologies about Hermione's eye being so dark! It's the colouring haha. And the picture was really bad quality. Hope you like it :)

Those look great! Super cute :)

  4. the boys had baby fat when they were young, you can see that in their faces so it was bound to grow out. Even if they werent in potter they still would have lost the weight.

I definitely noticed it with Dudley and Neville but like Andrea said it was baby fat, you have to remember the boys were all still pretty young when the movies started so they just grew out of it.

  5. The first book was released in 1997. I believe they began trying to cast for the trio in 1998 or 1999 so only two or three of the books had come out at that time. HP was becoming a very successful book series but at that point in time we were definitely on the front end of HP mania. And there was no guarantee that the films were even going to be any good let alone successful. I'm sure if their parents knew then what they know now it might be a more difficult decision.

Emma has said in interviews herself, that had she known what was to come it would have been overwhelming. She just thought it'd be fun to be Hermione. She, nor any of the rest of them, had any idea how huge all of this would become.

But yes, it is still a big decision.

Yes, I know that at the time it didn't seem like that big of a deal, I agree that I think the decision would have been more difficult if their parents knew exactly how big this all would have become.

  6. I've actually been thinking about this for sometime. I wonder if it's because I worked with kids that got me thinking about the decisions parents make. So I wonder... how hard or easy was the decision for the Potter Kids parents to make the decision to let their children become apart of this huge franchise?

I already know Daniel's parents were very hesitant at first, so much so they didn't even want him playing the role... but what about Emma and Rupert's parents?

If it were me I know it would be one of the hardest parenting decisions I'd ever make. If I let my child take this role, in what is going to become the biggest franchise in the world, have hundreds of thousands of doors opened up for them for their career and education, have fame and fortune while also knowing what has become of many a child star, would I let them? Would I trust my child enough to make the right decisions if I did? Or would I say no and have my child go through a "normal" life, away from fame, a movie set, traveling around the world for movie premiers and interviews, and have them stay in their school with their friends and experience all the things that "normal" children experience, knowing full well what I'm taking away from my child and that they'll probably resent me when they see this other actor taking the role that should have been theirs?

I don't think Emma or Rupert ever discussed it, but I really wonder how hard the decision was for their parents to make.
