  1. HP is always a good choice. My old laptop is an HP and it sadly lasted only 2 years, then the screen broke. Everything else still works fine tho. I bought an Acer couple weeks ago. And I don't regret it.

I'm not very fond of Sony's tho. I guess they are alright but they are more expensive. You pay a lot for the design.

Thank for replying. My first option is an HP, but some people have told me that HPs overheat in a country like this. An Acer is a good option too.

  2. Did people ever really discuss something in this topic? For as long as this topic and it's several incarnations have existed I haven't found much discussion in it...ever!

Yeah, you're right. People have been rebillious all this time. xD

And guys, I'm planning to buy a laptop. Could someone suggest a brand? I was thinking in HP or Sony Vaio, but I'm not sure.

  3. I think "cuddle" is the verb I have to use there, I don't know, my english is not 100% good; anyway:

The mother's caresses during childhood can help today's children to "resist" the temptation of drugs and other addictive substances when they reach adulthood. This is what emerges from a study by Duke University (in USA) and the University of Adelaide (in Australia). Staci Bilbo (neuroscientist and author of the work) explains that experiments with rats have shown that to have much physical contact with the mother increases the production of a molecule of the immune system called interleukin-10 (IL-10) that is capable of modifying the response of the brain to addictive substances.

Bilbo and his colleagues have proved that the brains of animals that had received more mother's caresses after birth had more active genes intended to produce this substance. After consuming a drug such as morphine, in the mammalian brain are activated glial cells that produce inflammatory molecules that send signals to a reward center called the nucleus accumbens. However, molecule IL-10 counteracts inflammation and reduces the reward signal, which prevents the creation of an addiction.

Personally, I think this is an interesting info, but what do you think guys?

  4. A laser can turn your brown eyes to blue

Gregg Homer, Stroma Medical Company, has developed a new laser technology that lets you change the color of brown eyes to blue. The new technology, in which Homer has worked for a decade, is called Lumineyes and has a drawback: once applied, there is no going back.

People with brown eyes have a pigment called melanin in the front of the iris. In people with blue eyes, this pigment is absent in front of the eye. Hence the treatment is based on eliminate melanin front of the iris using laser. The procedure is completed in a record time of 20 seconds, although the blue takes a few weeks to appear.

Although so far there have been few human clinical trials, Homer is expected that the treatment could be available in three years in the U.S., and in just a year and a half abroad.
