  1. Snowed in so I am wearing house clothes

    Grey Hollister Henley

    Black Lululemon yoga pants

    Red slipper booties

Ironically that's the typical attire for the average college girl while on campus haha. That's basically what I notice at my uni, same goes with my sister at her university as well.

    Banana blue long sleeve tee

    Banana black v-neck sweater

    True Religion faded "Billy" jeans

    black/white Puma sneakers

Tissot T-Touch (I freakin' love this watch)

    Prada aviator sunglasses

  2. Erm i have a fair bit, considering we have the same style.

I own two burberry coats she wears, both from her campaigns though. Trying to get the new one she wears with the studs, and the other with leather arms.

You should get on that quick if you want to get that studded coat. I think that was part of Burberry's "Winter Storms" collection and they're about to get phased out since it was just for a limited amount of time... Unless they added that to their Biker collections.

  3. Technically my first job was babysitting when I was like 12 probably lol.

My first real job was being a camp counselor. I went on to being a dance instructor. I have done a bunch of different volunteer jobs and Assistant Directing for a Youth Theatre.

But, I prefer tutoring or private dance instructor. The pay is "under the table" so you don't get taxes taken away form. Its amazing pay!! Way more then I would make with a big business or retail do to my age and such. I am not going to look into any real jobs with a company and such till after Uni.

I picked up a gig as a fencing instructor at a private school near here last fall. Pay was a contractual stipend but for the hours I was working I made quadruple what I make at my other job. Other than the pay I did like the atmosphere of teaching others particularly students who were only a few years my junior. I take it you quite enjoyed being an instructor.

  4. Thank you for your advice. I will see what I can do. Right now I will just stick with college for the moment.

When you do transfer on to a 4 year university, many of them do have opportunities for you to get apply for an internship or study abroad program (both would look really good on a resume). There are also opportunities for you at university to network with various potential employers. My school is hosting a career fair in a few weeks where students will be able to meet and network with numerous firms; I think they said there will be representatives from 216 companies present.

Where's your nearest Apple store? Are you looking to do a floor retail job or a technician working on hardware for customers in the back? Their website would say one thing but you won't know for sure unless you ask them in person. The last time you were turned down because of your age, did they tell you what their minimum was for that store?

  5. Ok, so I stumble into the Fashion Forum. Finally had the guts to do it.

And, my clothes know no brands, since I'm dirt broke to afford designer. heh. SO!

I'm still sitting in my bed clothes, since it's morning. But, haha:

Grey v-neck shirt with "LOL" emblazoned on the front. Gotta laugh; if you don't laugh, ya cry.

And, pair of grey knit shorts.

I wear some variation of this all year, always shorts in the winter in the house.

    ^_^

Hey if it looks good and feels good, it is good. Price is no issue.

    jcrew Grey henley

    banana black slim chinos

    sperry flat sole sneakers

    banana trench coat

  6. I'm still in community college right now. After I get my degree I will look for a job and see what happens after that.

It's always a good thing to get some work experience under your belt by the time you graduate. You don't want to be too green when you enter the job market. In today's economy the job market has become more competitive than before. Your experience as a working employee looks better on your resume than a high GPA to most companies. See if you can apply for an internship or something.

  7. Same with US companies depending on the sector and company. If you're under 18 you're probably only limited to retail, supermarket, or clerk type jobs. My job is an accessory retail business but the age requirement is 18 because every employee is a key holder. Most jewelers, especially privately owned ones, have an age requirement as well because of the nature of the products. Most other companies use age requirements for liability reasons.

I got my first job straight out of high school. It would've been an infantryman in the USMC but my contract was dropped due to injury. My first job was a sales associate with Sunglass Hut International. I love sunglasses so naturally I loved my job; which is why I'm still working there after 3 years. After graduating university I am hoping to stay in the company or industry.

You were 14 and turned down for a position, you're now 15 but did you ask them what their age requirement was to work at an Apple store? All the Apple stores around here I see are around college age or older. Your best option is to FIRST ask what their requirements are for potential employee candidates.

  8. Coffee, not for a pick up but for the taste.

I can handle a cup of Earl Grey or regular tea, but Ive been put off tea because of that Chai Latte rubbish, smells horrible.

    Peppermint Tea is horrible too.

Tea is not meant to be doused with milk nor steamed... that is all.

^ I have never drunken (drinken?) Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea. I stick to the fruity hibiscus stuff. I do like Black tea though.

And, HEY, peppermint tea is awesome over the holidays! Well, to each his own I guess!

I drink both. My twinneh doesn't drink any. I usually opt for coffee in the morning or early afternoon, and if it's a strong roast I usually doctor the mug...meaning I won't drink it all in one shot. Lately, I've gone to get my hazelnut coffees at Dunkin' Donuts while I'm on the run and the cups come out WATERY! Either that, or I'm getting too used to making my self Starbucks brews at home...(THANKS ROOMIE!:doh::P )

Tea is good for the nighttime. ^_^

The tea I'm drinking now is a blend of cacao mint black tea and honeybush vanilla herbal, it's definitely something seasonal. I tried it, didn't quite like it 'cause I can't really taste the tea but I bought 12 ounce of the stuff. I also drink a good blend of golden monkey black and heaven keemun black; really good dark tea. If you're wondering, Teavana has corrupted me.
