  2. No, seriously, go watch Pan's Labyrinth. It's one of his best. When it came out, it made a bunch of top ten lists, and was a lot of critic's favorite movie of that year.
  3. Yeah, she's interested in working with specific people. Just because she passes on things that are interesting doesn't mean the projects that she does pick are going to be any less interesting. As far as her fans... there's really no way to know how they will react to her new roles. If they watch Perks and The Bling Ring and are still interested, I see no reason why they would stop after that. But hey, who knows. Perks was received well critically and was able to get around to a relatively large amount of theatres (I was able to see it at my local theatre, and it stayed around for a wh
  4. So if she only works on projects with certain directors and those projects end up only turning out no more than one movie every year, she loses? What would she lose? Her fans? People will just stop liking her because they're seeing her every year, as opposed to every few months? You're assuming the only people who will be her fans in the coming years will be Harry Potter fans, but those aren't her only fans. Every successful movie she makes will bring her brand new fans who were never into Harry Potter. As for blockbusters, she didn't say she would avoid them because they "stole her
  5. Wait, so you want her to accept as many role as she can regardless of the quality? Would you rather Emma be in a bunch of okay movies or one really good movie every year? I don't know about you, but I'd pick quality over quantity. She can set up her roles without having everyone coming to her and asking. She can seek out those directors, just like she did with Coppola and Del Toro. Saying no to everyone won't hurt her if she's setting up her own roles by herself. And as far as the book's popularity goes, we all know Emma is just dying to get involved in another blockbuster f
  6. I spent way too much time on this one. Original: http://i.imgur.com/wZKmaDS.jpg
  7. She picks projects based on the director. This project has no director, so she has no reason to stay. This project and Cinderella are studio driven projects. They don't have a creative leader who is their from the beginning. I think projects that don't have that focus aren't interesting to her. It's not about some character who would be really interesting for her play. She just wants to be a part of something greater than herself.
  8. If she works with any of those directors she mentioned, then that will definitely not be a problem. She's always looking to push the boundaries of what she thinks she's capable of. I'm just saying that she can be in movies that are directed by those people she mentioned, and those movies don't necessarily have to involve nudity. They could, and if they did, I don't think she would outright refuse to do the role just on the sole basis of that alone. But if they just happen to not involve nudity, she's not going to be stuck with a different image because of it.
  9. "I might be willing to take my clothes off for a Bernardo Bertolucci film, if it was a part that really made sense as part of my character. But I wouldn’t do it just to make a point, to move on from Hermione. I’d hate to be so tactical. I’m not just getting my kit off for anyone." That is literally what she's suggesting.
  10. Just because she's said that scenes in the past were uncomfortable for her to shoot, doesn't mean that she would turn down or demand changes to a role that had parts that might be uncomfortable. She did scenes with Sofia that were different, and I'm sure uncomfortable, for her, but she knew that ahead of time and accepted anyway. Nothing in her past suggests she would ever demand to change a scene that she was uncomfortable with. If she agrees to work with one of those directors, and there is nudity involved, she will most likely do it. Please provide any evidence that suggests anything
  11. From Elle Spain: "I told my people that I wanted to work with Sofia, and she was just preparing " The Bling Ring". Everything fit perfectly. The truth is that I do not see specific roles, I want to work with certain directors, people who have conviction, who want to create something new, and I want to be part of that creative project" From Elle Russia: What directors do you want to work with? "Paul Thomas Anderson, Danny Boyle, David Fincher, Baz Luhrmann. I have ambitious plans." Doesn't seem like schoolgirl and fairy tale movies to me.
  12. I know she's said in interviews that she's willing to do nudity for the right part. But does that mean that if her next 5 or 10 films don't involve nudity, she won't be taken seriously or get the recognition that she would otherwise deserve? I don't think so. I don't think if she turns down a role that involves nudity it's because she's scared or uncomfortable. She has also said in interviews that she's interested in working with directors that she admires, and scripts that have fascinating characters. If she turns down a role, I think it would make more sense that those factors would

  16. Well thank God you're here to let us all know what Emma would and would not enjoy. If it weren't for you, we would never realize how insulting it is for a 22 year old girl to not interact with us at a level we deem acceptable. Without you, we might actually respect Emma's right to choose the direction she wishes to take her career without injecting our own misplaced resentment towards her private life. Congratulations on successfully derailing yet another topic.
  17. http://variety.com/2013/film/news/cinderellas-glass-slipper-didnt-fit-emma-watson-1200007282/ Variety says that production won't start until next year at the earliest, which means a 2015 release is likely. After June, her schedule will be totally empty... with plenty of time to start something new.
