  1. I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm an adult too, and I've always discussed HP at work and my friends also know I love the series... I really don't care if I am judged for being a HP fan. Not even my husband's remarks bother me. The way I see it, it's their loss that they are not into such a wonderful world, not mine. Oh yes, there is a hug in the book too, just not where the movie one exists. Yes. I'm not sure if it was due to HP being a 'children' book or what, but I wasn't really expecting romance, but I really didn't read much into things when it happened. Or maybe because, up to t
  2. The hug only exists in the movie version. I remember there was excitement when Hermione delivered her line in the Yule Ball in GoF (book version) because it was the very first time that she so clearly expressed that she liked Ron.
  3. You nailed it there, Jon. While I understand that shipping RL people is 'weird' for some, I take great pride in shipping R/E. No matter how often they say they are 'like brother and sister', in no way, shape or form they have behaved as such. Quite the opposite, actually. While I am sure there would be other couples just as obvious as them in the world, the fact that they are in the public eye make their affections towards one another simply UNDENIABLE. And of course R/E would tell the press that they are just like 'brother and sister'. Which famous person hasn't? They are indeed very deserv
  4. The ending is adorable! Loved it! cbmac, yes, R/Hr were always destined to be together. Anyone would have seen that one coming from the moment Hermione told Ron 'Next time there is a ball, ask me before someone else does, and not as a last resort' in GoF. That was THE defining moment. It was very VERY clear. Jon, I'm so glad that you have a Gryffindor scarf! I'd love to have one too! Does your friend take orders? Katharine, I also think a HP fan is way cooler than a football one! In fact, judging by my friends' children reactions when we discuss HP related stuff, I can tell that it a
  5. Bienvenida Sizzler-Sister! Ya somos 3 las argentas!!! As for the R/E vid, it's really beautiful. Joana is one of the most talented video-makers around!
  6. I think I might do the same for part 2!!!
  7. ^ And yet, as 'different' as they are, they manage the media and their fans with similar grace. !nd they also remain equally low-key and try to have as normal a life as they possibly can.
  8. Unfortunately, there's still a small minority who will continue to have 2nd thoughts about R/Hr together, regardless of what they are shown. Even THE KISS of all kisses won't convince them. If JK Rowling couldn't get them onboard since 2005, when she kept telling them to re-read the books as there was nothing between H/Hr, I highly doubt anyone of us would achieve such an IMPOSSIBLE task either! *where's the banging head against wall icon when you need it?* LOL 'Like hell' as cbmac said, was awesome. Our boy wasn't going to give up that easy! If he was going to die anyway, he'd better
  9. It would only be wrong if they were RL brother and sister. But they are not.
  10. back for more, as I couldn't post it all in one go... No 'Brangelina' definitely. Much more like Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, as you said. I think R/E might go public after HP is over. They probably won't be followed everywhere as much as they would if they were to do it in present times. Of course they'll always generate news and people will be interested, especially if their names are linked together (YAY!), but I also think the general consensus is to let them be. They just want to be as normal as they can and they support such with their own actions, as they try to keep out of t
  11. Thanks for the link, Sabine! Most of us here don't ship any other RL couples either... but R/E are definitely unique. They couldn't be more obvious if they tried! Your post was so positive it made me smile. At times I tend to think they are behaving as a couple by now but, being as private as they are, they are probably holding onto that privacy for as long as they can. I think their goal is to keep things quiet until HP is over. After that they'll be left alone in the sense that they won't have cameras on their faces idf they decide to go 'public' with their relationship. They won'
  12. Yes, apparently she was in Oxford today, as she was snapped while shopping for clothes. I'm not sure if it's her mum or dad who lives in Oxford - or both. Apparently Emma's flat in Hampstead is not far away either, but I'm not sure how close. Kaaaaaaaaaaaatharine, please help!!!
  13. I'd love any of these lines! While I don't expect too much screentime of it (I'd be pleasantly surprised if we do, though ) I'd like to hear a line or two about how concerned Ron was during MM.
  14. And by a very LARGE difference, that is. I thought she was going straight to University after LA too, but I'm glad I was wrong!!! I expect more 'coincidences' in the next few days. LOL Rupert near Oxfordshire (again) maybe? This is getting obvious!!!
  15. Fred and George! LOL I feel honoured!!! I don't know how it will play out, but I hope I like it as much as I did with the book version. I KNOW R/E will sell me a couple in love (LOL), it's just the script -or the lack of- that I'm worried about. She was clinging to him like dear life... and so was he! Hope in part 2 we get Hermione to tell Ron that it was actually his 'screams' who got her through the torture... I'm not sure though, as he wasn't actually screaming in the movie, but something along those lines would be great!
  16. Emma was spotted at the airport, taking a flight from LA to London: http://www.celebrity-gossip.net/emma-watson/emma-watson-farewell-los-angeles-454944 And there was also a tweet about Rupert at Stansted Airport on the same day: http://twitter.com/elloelkid/status/24183884090449920 Whether it doesn't say if he was arriving or departing, I tend to think it's the first option, judging by the 'coincidences' we've been having during Christmas time.
  17. They are so deserving of that title!!!
  18. Back for more! 'Hermione', I saw you are a Mod now. Congrats! I get what you mean but IMO, the dialogue leading to the kiss was wonderfully written. It made me jump with joy. I've always considered myself quite similar to Hermione and, as such, the only trait about Ron that REALLY bothered me was his lack of commitment to any creature who wasn't a wizard. Ron comes from a Pure-Blood family and yet he has little to no interaction with any one of them outside his relatives; his father is a Muggle-lover, his best friend is a Half-Blood... AND he's (secretly) in love with a Muggle-bor
  19. I love when the forum is back on track. I'd wish I had more time to address every single one of these last posts in one go, though. But I'll get there... eventually... Absolutely agreed. The other day I read a review about DH part I and the critic, who was just sooo obviously a HP fan and R/Hr shipper, said he was waiting for part II as THE KISS was in it (and that Harry was destroying Voldemort too, which was also important ). WB know it will face the anger of 99% of the fans if they decided to leak the kiss... UNLESS we finally do what we've been plotting so long and decide to b
  20. I think it's the angle too that makes him look broader. Not that he isn't broad enough, of course! Some assume his sister Georgina is the one sitting next to him, but I really can't tell. I'm curious!
  21. We know you want to, Rupert! Just do it!!!
  22. Sorry for double posting, but I really didn't want my previous post to drag for so long as sometimes it gets deleted! LOL I love your pic too, Katharine. I have a feeling Maggie and Rupert love each other as if they were RL grandma & grandson! I think about it as Harry and Hermione dynamic as they have a similar train of thought at times. I've found my Ron many years ago. I think we all agree there, with the SPEW thing. Even though we all understand time restrictions, it would have been nice to have been mentioned at least. Many things were left out from the movies, but
  23. OMG!!! Warning everyone!!! It's the dialogue of the kissing scene! While I don't particularly mind reading this, I really hope the kiss scene is not leaked. I really don't wanna see that. By its description, I like the 'angle' in which the kiss was shot though, as we won't have any cuts. What we'll see it's the REal deal. Welcome back, Alex! I LOVED your description about our little R/Hr thread... 'a sanctuary'. It's just so fitting. It is indeed a saint-like place where we can discuss all things about this greatly beloved couple JK Rowliing created and that we've all embraced and e
  24. It still amazes me how our train of thought can be so similar at times. Just posted this reply briefly ago in the DH film thread, about what I like and don't like about the movies
  25. This is quite true. When the 1st movie came out, I had already read PS, CoS and PoA had a mental picture of how H/R/Hr were supposed to look like, but those thoughts started to slowly vanish, and towards the last couple of books all I could picture was the actual actors playing JK Rowling's scenes as I was reading the chapters. They really do the trio justice. What I really don't like about the movies is the fact that some crucial plots were underdeveloped, such as Hermione's SPEW. I can understand time restrictions for it to be fully explained, but it should have been at least very roughly
