  1. I agree Galadriel. They can always include the 'Expelliarmus' during Part II. I just don't get why it was ommited in the first place while it would have been more logical and relevant to the story to include it. I did NOT like that Hedwig was blamed for giving Harry away, though. I promised cbmac that I would also post what I liked about DH. So here I go. First and foremost, Rupert's characterisation of Ron. He was just SO spot on. He gave me book!Ron in a movie that not necessarily followed the book at crucial points imo. His speech when he returns is absolutely beautiful and close to
  2. I agree, Luciana. Rupert just NAILED it. Every little piece of dialogue was just perfect. He was Book!Ron at all times, something I truly appreciate. My favourite scenes: His fight with H/Hr before he leaves. His speech when he returns.'It was written all over Rupert's face that he's in love with her'.
  3. Jon, it seems unfair to just quote this little bit as I am mainly in agreement with everything else you have just said. I guess the real problem for me is when things get so deviated from the books that at times it looks like we are watching a completely different story. I know what I am going to say is not R/Hr related, so maybe I should post it in the DH thread instead, but I'd really appreciate my fellow shippers input about this: While I enjoyed The Seven Potters a lot, and the transformation was amazing, two things failed for me. The least important one is when Ron returns and Hermion
  4. Older shippers say their chemistry started as far as GoF, but I only noticed it during OotP promos. And then I paid attention to the little R/E goodies disguised as R/Hr moments in the movie, like that classic one where Emma looks at Rupert and licks her lips. I don't think that was in the original script at all! LOL
  5. That was SO FUNNY!!! And I second that, of course!!! The article Occulus posted was interesting! If that's exactly what Emma said -and assuming the newspaper didn't mess up with her words in any way- it looks like Dan is the great best friend she watches movies with, while there's a lot more intimacy with Rupert. We don't know if she snuggles up with him in the sofa or not -that's suspiciously left out I must add- but the fact that she's comfortable enough to do that in his dressing room speaks volumes about the depth of their bond. I hope all mentioned in that article is true.
  6. Why do I always keep thinking R/K as Robert/Kristen?
  7. It's OK, cbmac. I'll always have The Silver Doe in the books, to re-read and enjoy. No lame scriptwriter who is clearly not in the least interested about H/R friendship will be able to get that wonderful chapter away from me. God bless JK Rowling. The splinching scene was good! Emma's performance was sooo convincing there. And Rupert too! Very well done by the three of them.
  8. I don't know, cbmac, I've always been quite vocal in saying that if they messed up with 'The Silver Doe' in any way, I'd feel shattered and therefore the movie would not be as good for me. And, unfortunately, it happened. H/R conversation was completely ignored and therefore I was robbed of the greatest bromance moment in the series. I just CAN'T ignore that, unfortunately. As for R/Hr's reunion, as I mentioned earlier, it lacked passion. I wanted a hysterical Hermione and Harry casting the Protego charm and all. From Ron POV, it was beautiful... and closer to the book, which I'm glad.
  9. Racing cars?! LOL... He's always on her mind, isn't he? And 'expensive mansions'... one of those may become the beautiful house she was talking about when talking about her engagement to Rupert.
  10. The canon relationships in the books have been so overlooked in the movies that at the moment I feel like I'm watching a completely different story when it comes to the romantic couples. I really didn't need to see Harry zipping up Ginny's dress. All I wanted was the passionate kiss I've been waiting for since HBP and, at this point, I don't think I'll ever get to see it. It's a real shame, considering we are talking about the main character of the series and his future wife!
  11. I just wanted to say that I enjoyed the 'Bathilda's Secret' chapter very much in the movie. It was canon to the book and represented H/Hr's friendship really well.
  12. I was hoping that after I watched the movie I would be coming to the bromance thread to say how much I enjoyed Silver Doe - my favourite chapter EVER! However, unfortunately I feel like I don't have much to add as H/R conversation after the locket is destroyed was completely butchered. Anyone else felt robbed of this wonderful H/R moment that enhances their friendship so wonderfully?
  13. Yes, MM torture scene also lived up to my expectations in regards to Hermione. But I also agree that I was waiting for Ron to loose it at some point, which didn't happen. The 'you let her go' line was not as strong as I would have liked. In the book, both R/Hr were in pain while she was being tortured. Hermione suffering a physical pain; while it was an emotional one for Ron. I was expecting that. Thanks Sabine! I actually only caught Ron's turn so I was unhappy because I thought we'd lost half the importance of that line if Hermione wasn't saying it too. I was probably looking for it
  14. I was actually waiting for a Hermione in hysterics once Ron comes back - and that Harry was going to be forced to cast the Protego charm and everything! Not only he didn't do that, but Hermione's wand was not even at hand! (WHY not is beyond me, as they were being hunted all over the place!!!) Hermione's reaction to Ron's arrival was quite cold imo. She was angry, but distant at the same time. BookHermione was only so after she shouted her heart out and attempted to kill Ron. I could see all her love for him in that moment. SHe was extremely hurt, but she loved him nonetheless. But I only noti
  15. Emma hasn't been very shy when letting everyone know that she'd love to visit Rupert's new place in London... supposedly to check it out, of course! We know they are 'like brother and sister'... or just 'sisters' as Rupert recently said.
  16. Sabine and Katharine, I agree with you both. Silver Doe was a HUGE disappointment for me in regards to the lack of a proper heart-to-heart conversation between H/R after the locket is destroyed. Such a pity. Instead of wasting valuable movie minutes in that pointless H/Hr dance, we should have had what was crutial to the story and the evolution of the two male heroes friendship. Overall, great acting by the trio though. Especially Rupert's.
  17. I'm not Freudian either, but it's funny that these two ADMIT that they are EXACTLY like their characters and even go to the extent of mixing up their REal names when talking about their characters, but yet WON'T ADMIT that they are crazy in-love with each other... It took a while for R/Hr... it's taking even longer for R/E!!!
  18. I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately but I had some urgent matters to attend to. Welcome back, Prima (Parasit or Panda, whatever you choose!) Two quotes from R/E have stuck with me during the last promos 'It's written all over Rupert's face that he loves her'. - Emma Watson -It's obvious that he loves Emma'. - Rupert Grint I'm a happy shipper!
  19. Have you tried talking to walls, Jon? The eco can be fascinating! I'm trying to keep myself mildly spoiled. Don't mind too much really because I've read the books so I know what's ahead, but I'm doing so mainly beause of the FX involved. Rupert has received great reviews about Ron's speech after he comes back so, if 'The Silver DOe' was already my favourite chapter, it's even more so now. I truly can't wait for this part, especially.
  20. You pretty much summed up my thoughts to perfection.
  21. i'm not a conspirator either, but it certainly looks like that, at least, someone from R/E's entourage reads these types of threads. If they do, i would be very amused by that and take it as a confirmation of R/E's true feelings for each other. Emma really confused me with her itinerary tbh. Everyone else is doing promotions -except for Dan as he's filming atm.
