The Dude Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 Saw it again on TV last night. I have to watch whenever I see it. I have the DVD but my wife has it now. Need to get it from her. Maybe the best film ever made. I can certainly appreciate Citizen Kane from a technical standpoint but emotionally I think Shawshank beats it. Shawshank is about universal truths that seem to touch everyone. Quite possibly the best movie ever put to celluloid. And that's not hyperbole. Link to post Share on other sites
