The Midnight Q
Does anyone include any sort of dietary supplement to their daily intake? It doesn't necessarily have to be a pill or something like that, just something you try to ingest more of. It can even be planning your diet to include higher concentrations of certain vitamins or minerals. I tend to drink a lot of protein shakes, especially after a work out to rebuild torn muscle (just the low level stuff, not the body building stuff). At times I also increase my intake of B vitamins by eating more earthy foods; definitely I make sure to get more than enough vitamin C in my blood. I also try to get as much calcium and iron in my system as well. Edited March 24, 2011 by sirbenedictvs
Arie
I take Calcium and Vitamin D twice a day. Calcium because I am lactose intolerant and therefore don't get enough calcium. Vitamin D because where I live there is no sun all winter so basically everyone has a vitamin D deficiency lol. Other then the actual pills I am always buying things that say they have extra calcium added. Like, OJ and such.
Karen
I have a calcium chew each morning - I'm really wary about osteoporosis. I don't want to suffer from it when I'm older! I love milk but when I'm at school I don't drink it often so I'm taking calcium chews instead. That's really it. I try to drink things with a lot of Vitamin C in them (as I am drinking orange juice lol). I should probably start taking one a day pills but for the most part I think I'm pretty good. Haha maybe paranoia might be a good thing. I already have early arthritis is me knees so I need anything good for joints and bones. As for vitamin C pills, IMO not necessarily needed. 2 glasses of OJ is probably already 100% of the daily recommended intake, anything extra just goes through you.. as far as vitamin C is concerned... so I'm told. The Midnight Q
Depending on which B vitamins you take, it'll also give you energy. A lil' better than caffeine.
