  1. rhrshipper, I wanted to address what you mentioned as the only flaw you saw in the R/Hr relationship due to the lack of development during OoTP. That was the beginning of the real darkness (as far as storyline was concerned) in the books after the deaths of Cedric at the end of GoF and the death of Sirius. I think that JKR might have played down the development of the relationship at that point in part because of the change in direction the story was starting to take. Harry felt so isolated in that book even around Ron and Hermione, I can only imagine the self angst Harry may have had if
  2. wb Courts! My computer has a sickness.... well. it's just old and I need to get a new one, so I can't see the interview posted. Having said that I find it kind of odd that the media has always played a lot more at the Rupert and Emma thing with questions when we suspect that Emma and Matt may have had a little something at least according to Rupert at one time. Is there fire where there's smoke? Or just smoke?
  3. 36 YAY! Two guys post in a row!
  4. Watching the U.S. Open. Andy Murray vs. Kevin Anderson
  5. Rupert seems to be shy and reserved relative to a lot of people who get involved with acting professionally. Years ago when Emma first mentioned that the kiss was like incest I think it may have become something of a crutch for Rupert publicly. I don't believe he ever mentioned the brother/sister thing until she had said it first. I could be wrong on that account though. I just think that he may have felt like he was disrespecting what she had said to portray the kiss any differently. So ever since then he falls back on the old brother/sister line whenever asked about the kiss. It's hi
  6. oooh. I didn't know she was coming to Barclays Center next month! Didn't she play field hockey in school? If I remembers right, but I can't be certain. While I know hockey is quite different from field hockey (yes... my meandering post is actually going somewhere) perhaps Emma will take an interest in the New York Islanders! Of course she is entitled to cheer for whichever sports teams she likes, or none if she likes, and yet I hope she might take a liking to my favorite hockey team as they move to Brooklyn and start their season this coming October. Practice your YES! YES! YES!
  7. Ok had to share this...truly should GRINTSON get married to each other someday (only they know for sure how they feel ) then BONUS for us teehee... if they are truly like brother and sister, why would Tom Felton call him out? I know Tom is like good buddies with him and they will razz on each other like mad, but Rupert at the convention in Toronto said Emma is like a sister to him and Felton called him out on it. LOL this was from someone who was at the convention. If I can find the vid I will!! but this SO reminds me of the time when the Phelps boys called Rupert out on his and Emma's kiss
  8. I knew it was coming soon. I just didn't realize HOW soon. I tended to think more often of the nearing arrival of the first day in terms of Albus Severus. Proving yourself Dumbledore's Woman through and through once again Katharine!
  9. Thanks for sharing all those awesome Ron/Hermione (book and movie) moments rhrshipper and cbmac! Molly and Arthur did a great job of passing on their acceptance of all people/pureblood/halfblood/muggleborn/non-humans on to thier children and Ron was of course no exception to that. The Ron/Hermione tensions came primarily out of angst and the inability to express their feelings in an adult way because shock of all shocks, they weren't adults. Something some people have a hard time forgiving Ron for it seems because of Hermione's maturity (and I'll add Harry's maturity too). I've always
  10. Happy Mother's Day on Sunday to Emma and Rupert's Mums! =) And of course to any of our shipping community who is a Mum who and/or has a Mum!
  11. Do they have the trio in anything other than the Gryffindor Common Room as you wait in line for the Roller Coaster? That's the only place I remember seeing them in the HP Castle. They made a remarkably good facsimile. Of course it would have been awesome to see the Dungeons and Great Hall. I remember waiting in Professor Sprout's Greenhouse and I believe the Potions Classroom while on line. I was chatting with friends when I went so I'm sure I missed some stuff. >.< Welcome back Captain!
  12. I guess it's hard to argue with a stay in the brig for that mistake. >.<
  13. Yes reality99, please feel free to call me Jon, as everyone does! And, for the most part, none of us have met one another in person. There have been a few shippers over the years here who have known eachother personally, but several of us hail from different corners of the World. Fortunately we have found a common home here, supporting various shipping communities and Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and the rest of the HP actors. Slipped on your puddles Kristin? I nearly drowned in them! I seriously believe you and Katharine were St. Benards in a past life. That drool is epic! Would mak
  14. I'm so very jealous of the sorting hat Kristin! >.< Where did he sort you? Does he sing you a new poem at the beginning of the school year? It would be fun to bring to one of your classes and perhaps use to sort kids into groups when they have a project to work on???? =/ maybe?
  15. "Fire Whiskey anyone?" It seems you may have had a few too many already Katharine. It's time to put the shot glass down. I wish the old ew forum were still around to look back and reflect on. There were some great posts and threads on that site that I would love to be able to read again. I THINK that you and start.a.revolution were the first two people to respond to me when I began posting on the old site back in March of 2010. Certainly you, Sabine and Kristin were among the first to accept me into our little online shippnig family. I have always been grateful for the reception I r
  16. We need someone to get us inside info. Audition for the roll of the teapot! Kristin?
  17. That's right Junkie! He's a Gryffindor Lion.
  18. I think feminism has a negative connotation to a lot of people because of certain prejudices that have become attached to the word over the years. There's an assumption some men make that beause a woman is a feminist that means she hates men. They view it as the reverse of missogony. Obviously, that is not what being a femenist is about. It's about empowerment, pride and equality. Now those are things worth fighting for. That's why (I'm guessing) Emma Watson fights for Women's rights. Plus, (I'm guessing again) she might relate a little bit better to the things a woman must fight for
  19. OINK OINK, >< I forgot to metion that little Rupert and Emma inside shipper joke upon seeing reality99's profile picture (avatar). Thanks Kristin! I have no desire to jump ship, and that's impossible anyway when I'm in the brig! >.< I think you've been shipping them even a bit longer than I have. I started in March of 2010 on the old ew.net and you and Dumbledore's Woman and Galadriel were already there. Even though Katharine and Sabine have stayed a bit more toward the Ron Hermione ship I think then the Rupert/Emma ship over these past several years. Lumos! I look forwa
  20. Haha, I think I've seen that show a few times, even though I did not see that episode. I believe one of the kids who acts on The Middle is the brother of one of the brothers from Malcolm in the Middle. The mom from Everybody Loves Raymond is kind of nuts in real life if you ask me. I know it's not the nicest of things to say, but she's got some odd things going on. The Middle is a cute/funny show though, the few times I've seen it. WOW though, putting Hermione and Ron up with Romeo and Juliet. That's pretty high praise. Thankfully HP's lovers were not star crossed though. JKR did
  21. Wait! They celebrated CHRISTMAS in the HP books! I thought the HP books were anti-Christian and just about Witchcraft! Yes, I loved how the holidays and esp. Christmas was always a special time in the books and how it was a time that sparked the Ron and Hermione romantic interest and also a time when Harry and Ron often cemented the bonds of their friendship, being two of the few who remained at the school over the holiday break. So very belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too, to all my Hermione/Ron Shipping friends/family!
