  1. The RNC runs from the 28th thru 30th (a day delayed because of possible weather). The Paralympics is from the 29th thru September 9, with only the opening ceremony on the 29th, and a few events on the 30th. I would guess it's because NBC figures the ratings for the Paralympics will be less than the ratings for the crap they normally broadcast.
  2. Welcome back. I'm glad you're doing well.
  3. I've read that it was supposed to be at the closing ceremony, but I also read comments saying they saw it after some of the events. I thought for sure someone would get it on their cell phone at least.
  4. Being the host nation might have something to do with it, but I suspect it's mostly because BBC isn't funded by advertisements. They can think about balanced coverage instead of only ratings.
  5. These appear to be fan photos taken on the beach. Fans were tweeting about being at some fire drum(?) and she was there.
  6. IHW currently has larger versions of the Teen Vogue shoot, http://www.emmamedia.net/thumbnails.php?album=470
  7. Those were for Teen Vogue in 2009. A bigger version of this one is here.
  8. We do not have a rule against posting paparazzi pics. We do have an unwritten rule against private pictures, or pictures that are very disrespectful.
  9. There are rumours about Emma all the time, and she'd probably get tired of saying no that's not true, no, that's not true. I think the difference with the pink dog is that the story was affecting someone else, and something they had done for a good cause.
  10. Oh, even with the truth out there, they'll still be saying for weeks that Emma is in talks, blah blah, etc. And a year from now they'll be saying Emma tried for the role but lost out to some other actress.
  11. The media is worse. It goes from someone musing over who they would like to see in a role, all the way to supposedly reputable news sources reporting that Emma is talks for the role, and is a top choice of the producers. What was that Emma said about fact checking taking 5 minutes? I guess the media figure if they read something on the internet enough times, it must be true.
  12. I do ski, but no, I would not give them a go. Way beyond my comfort level.
  13. I'm not saying this forum. I think many of the movie rumours about Emma start as one of those polls started on entertainment sites. Like "who would you like to see as the next Dr. Who companion?" which had Emma as the favorite. I think it was pretty obvious it was just a fans choice sort of thing, but some sites were saying she was in the running. Oh, and that New York Daily News article? Emma is listed as one of their "humble suggestions". Everything I have seen about this is nothing more than that, someone suggesting who they would like to see in the film.
  14. Didn't this whole rumour start from one of those "who would you like to see in ..."?
  15. Criticism is not forbidden, as long as it isn't meant be insulting.
  16. I don't know what causes this either. There have been a couple people that complained about it in the past. IE seemed to be a common factor. One person solved it by updating IE, but I guess you are at the latest? My only other suggestion is clearing cache and cookies.
  17. I believe Juan Francis and Ernest are the same person. So, I'll just close this nonsense.
  18. Let's all relax. Some of the comments were certainly inappropriate. Other comments may be amusing, but when you single them out, you are in a way making fun of the person who posted it. I'll go ahead and close this as the OP requested.
  19. A number of comments deleted. Here is a hint. If there are inappropriate words, don't include the comment. In another topic you implied maybe Emma was reading the forums. Just pretend she is, and imagine what she would think about seeing this crap again.
  20. Right now I am running it. Lots to learn. Those were my first tweets.
  21. It wasn't neglect, but it is indeed back.
  22. Daily Mail isn't interested in facts, or the truth. They're interested in selling papers, and getting visitors on their website. They also seem to have something against Sophie Sumner. If you do a search on their site, you'll get hundreds of articles that mention "Emma Watson". I got 11 that mention "Sophie Sumner". They even used a photo that was cropped to remove Sophie for this article, and didn't even mention she was there too.
  23. I think Jo is still checking her question topic for questions. Or you can comment on that question post on Emma's facebook.
