ya know, I've been getting that a lot lately. I just don't try to fit people's expectations and I guess I'm doing a good job ^_^

LOL I wouldn't care at all, you're right! I'd actually be flattered. And yeah, it'd be blasphemous though because I don't wear a ring LOL. I'm prepared to address that too hahaha. :)

  18. Karen

...I'm prepared to respectfully debunk that, and I am also honored that I might be mistaken for two other beautiful religions. :)

  19. Karen

lol I have no idea! I think people are still generally confused over the covering topic in Judaism because there are so many different spins on it. I am sure that at some point, when I wear a scarf, I will be mistaken for a Jewish woman because that's the style I'm wearing. If I were wearing a hijab, people might think I'm muslim.

oh and this is a picture which sums up a lot imo: http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_loj2njJOCG1qcv7ogo1_400.jpg i think there'definitely a double standard when people say christian women are devoted and muslim women oppressed. I think they are both beautiful.

  21. that is awesome sarah!!

  22. Karen

that depends on the context and I think there are many things in the bible that shouldn't be taken literally so I'm not doing it because of that. I just think women who cover their hair are really beautiful and are focused on God and not appearance.

  23. Karen

of course! look at nuns for example, they cover from head to toe and are generally really modest. Also, branches of christianity like the amish and the mennonites the women cover their hair. In the Bible it says for a woman to cover her hair when prothletizing (sp??) or praying and then it also says in a different passage that we should pray without ceasing.

  24. Karen

hmm it's a good question! well I got thinking about women who cover their hair and it's a common theme in the three main religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam but I'm not doing it because the Bible tells me to. I think that women have been objectified and I feel like more of a feminist covering myself up than showing a lot of skin, you know?
