  1. I wonder if sad is really the proper description. I think it's probably fair to say I know little to nothing about you (I'm getting lazy on the forums T_T), so I can only use your photo as evidence for analysis. I don't see sadness in this photo, there's too much preparation. Now by preparation I don't mean you slaved away for hours before you took this picture, but I don't get the sense of apathy that comes with a person who's sad, I don't see that lack of care in this photo. Some strands of your hair are braided in a nice pattern while the rest of your hair is a little messy. This works real
  2. It was either Josie, Grant, or Heba. Unfortunately none of them have remained on the forum T_T.
  3. Really great season finale this year (some funky/funny scenes, but I liked the cheesiness). I feel like overall this season on the whole has been the best of the Smith era. There's been great acting, great stories, and a great cliff hanger leading up to the anniversary special. Well done.
  4. The 6th HP soundtrack was amazing. Tron Legacy had a great soundtrack too.
  5. I think Clara's a pretty good companion. It's kind of hard getting over the Ponds, they were so great T_T. I've got to be honest, I'm a bit disappointed from what I've heard about the 50th anniversary special. It seems like they're only bringing back the 10th Doctor and Rose. The episode isn't out yet so I'll withhold full judgment, but 11 doctors woulda been sweet...ok more than 2 doctors would have been sweet T_T.
  6. Guys, the media is over exaggerating things. What North Korea's doing now really isn't all that different from what it's always done. They're trying to be provocative and more likely Kim Jong-un is trying to consolidate power internally. He doesn't want to appear weak right now. These tactics are nothing new. As for your guys' talk involving China and the US let me speak bluntly. China is pissed at North Korea's continued nuclear program. Believe it or not they don't want North Korea to have nukes. Why? For one North Korea's highly unstable, and who wants an unstable nuclear neighbor? Two, a

    BoMa Graphics

OMG you captured my likeness perfectly <3333. BoMa your graphics are always amazing, thank you ^.^.
  8. To be fair the mother did see the signs. She was taking the steps to institutionalize him. You have to prove the adult is incapable of taking care of himself before you can commit him, which is what she was doing. It's unfortunate but that seems to be the primary reason he killed her. As for the school shooting it's been suggested that the shooter felt his mother cared more about the children than about him. It's hard to find a reason in pure madness. At the end of the day the guy was unstable, his mother was trying to get him help, but it wasn't soon enough.
  9. True but guns factored significantly into this tragedy. Our hearts are always with the victims but you can't ignore the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Look the US could ban guns but it's so engrained in American culture that it would be nearly impossible to get rid of them altogether. You could eliminate assault weapons and make them harder to obtain but there would still be a large black market for them. Many believe it's a constitutional right, which is highly debatable but this probably isn't the topic to debate it. The fact of the matter is, if someone wants to kill another person

    New Theme Parks

But there isn't a large corporation that says where all the theme parks in the world go. The US has the resources and companies willing to build a theme park here vs the UK which apparently lacks them, although I thought there was an HP theme park being built there? Hardcore fans are willing to travel but keep in mind it costs significantly less to travel say 100-200 miles to get to a theme park by car versus getting a passport and buying a ticket to London. I don't see how it's disrespectful, at the end of the day it's just a theme park, and if that's something to get upset over these days we

    New Theme Parks

That depends on your definition of exploitable, if you mean does a consumer group exist that would cater to a Harry Potter theme park then I'd say absolutely. There several theme parks in Southern California alone, Disney Land, California Adventure, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm, I could go on but you get my point. You can argue that small kids forcing families to go to a theme park make up a portion of their profits, and I'd even agree it's a sizable portion, but if they were reliant on that alone they would have crashed and burned

    New Theme Parks

That would be a horrible business model. You're talking about theme parks that are about 3,000 miles apart on each coast of the US. The population of America is over 300 million, and the fan base here is huge. California alone has a population of about 37 million not to mention the countless visitors that come to California each year. The amount of income it could generate in California alone is somewhat staggering. If anything I'm surprised the US doesn't have more HP theme parks.
  13. Heeeeeeey there's nothing wrong with 23, the 20's are totally rockin ^.^.
  14. It won't help you with your insomnia but I'm obligated to post this whenever someone mentions insomnia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuqEbRzy_t8 Insomnia does tend to suck. I usually don't suffer from it unless I'm super energetic and haven't worn myself out for the day, which is rare ^.^.
  15. Ohhh boy, you enter into that thought process and you open up a big ole can of paranoid beans. She's confirmed her Facebook account, why doubt her answers? Even then I'd be content that she's actually holding Q&A sessions, most others wouldn't bother. If nothing else believe in Jo, she's been around for a long time, originally created the fan site, and helped build up this community, all this before she ever started running Emma's main site. Based off current facts I'd say that the answers from her Facebook page are legitimate. At the end of the day you can either accept the facts presente
  16. Well I mean it is still "her" answer and it is still genuine, personal, and out of her month. The only difference is it's being presented in a written form. Edit: aww man, beaten to it T_T.
  17. Next time just reverse the polarity of the neutron flow and everything will turn out alright.
  18. I don't think it's even a question of Disney taking over. Episodes four, five, and six were classics and will always remain so. The newer episodes weren't as good. I'm not saying they were horrible, but they didn't have the legacy that the original trilogy had. I'm hesitant at the notion of creating a new trilogy in part for that reason. Disney has had their share of bad productions, but I wouldn't judge them until they actually produce the movie. There's potential, and Disney isn't the worst studio that could be producing it. As for Emma having a role in it, it would be interesting, but at
  19. I know Matt Smith is only signed for another year but I haven't heard of him wanting to step down. I think it's quite possible that he'll stay on for awhile longer. The only problem I'd have with Emma being the Doctor is she'd be pretty young for the role. To date Peter Davison and Matt Smith have been the youngest Doctors and they were around 27 years old when they started the role. It's not inconceivable there could be a younger incarnation but I don't see the producers heading in that direction. It would be nice to have a female doctor but I don't think it will happen for two reasons. One,
  20. If prop 30 doesn't pass I'm going to be sick. It means at least a $3,000 tuition increase for me, and this on top of all the other increases they've made. Tuition use to be about 3,000 a semester here back in 2000, now we're paying 16,000+ per year -sigh-.
  21. Gahhhhhhh I don't want to stay up all night watching these propositions. Not looking good for repealing the death penalty out here in California, or the all too critical prop 30, although it's pretty early at the moment. Lots of love for Marijuana during this election, I'm a bit surprised.
  22. Medical Marijuana was legalized in Mass, and general Marijuana in Colorado, although it's still illegal on a federal level which trumps state law.
  23. It sounds like the Marijuana legalization bill in Colorado is going to pass haha .
  24. SF has a bit of everything but considering how liberal it is, the rest of the bay area included, it's far more Democrat then you'd think. (By that I mean there's less interest in third parties here). We need better campaign finance reform and we need to make third parties a viable option. I'm tired of the same old two party dominance in this country.
