It's not so much where I want to photograph but where I want to go, I will always take my camera because I love being able to capture the moment and look back at memories. There are so many beautiful places to visit around the world and sadly there just isn't enough money or time to see them all. This is how the UK copes with snow..... This is the M25, one of the countries busiest motorways brought to a standstill... Apparently three inches fell in just 30 minutes in London on Saturday, some Stoke fans travelling back took over 10 hours to get home in what is normally a two and a half hour journey.

I agree with this, if I could go back knowing what I know and with the memories I would love to live through it all again, the past 10 years have been brilliant and I have loved every minute of it. If it meant going back and starting over, without the memories I am not sure I would want to, you would never know if things would work out the same. Now, where did I put that flux capacitor?

The lights in Stoke-on-Trent are pretty basic but the Town Hall looks impressive.... I actually live in a small market town called Newcastle-under-Lyme on the outskirts of Stoke, the Christmas lights are much nicer and it feels very festive, I haven't been able to take any photos myself but here is one I have found of the High Street...

We have had no more snow around here today but with temperatures staying well below freezing for the rest of the week the snow won't be going anywhere, with more snow forecast for Wedenesday onwards a White Christmas is pretty much odds on.

Is anyone here a fan of Firefly? (I know of at least one ) It was one of the best shows on TV and I have seen them so many times on DVD since, as well as the movie 'Serenity' I can never get tired of watching it. There are no Premier League games on Sunday now, Chelsea v Man Utd, Blackpool v Tottenham and West Brom v Wolves are all off. Arsenal v Stoke was all set to go ahead, but they apparently received three inches of snow in just 30 minutes and the game was called off at midday, most of the Stoke fans were already in or not far from London, had it not been for my op, I would have been with them so at least I was saved a wasted day. One problem with snow in the UK is that it doesn't take much and everything comes to a standstill. We don't have many (if any) snow ploughs and rely on road gritters, in January, councils weren't prepared for the cold snap and they ran out of salt, causing major problems, this time they have stocked up with more salt, but the cold snap has started earlier so they recon they will run out again come January/February. At this moment in time I hate it because the Stoke match today was postponed because of it, and it's bad for driving.. I don't even attempt to go out on my scooter when it snows. At times though, I quite like it... especially in the morning when it is undisturbed, it's beautiful.
