One thing that constantly troubles me is the double standard set by the israeli government - they want the palestinians to be nice and law-abiding citizens (of what, actually?) while they themselves let their own settlers violate the law and all previous agreements all the time and even send army and police to protect them....plus money from the state if I heard correctly. What kind of message is that to the palestinians? Can they really expect the palestinians (in their hearts) to renounce on their vow to destroy israel if a large part of israelis will not give up on their dream of a pure jew

Well I was expecting you to post here ofc Arie....but with the only other poster being from the arabic world, I seem to have recreated the exact stalemate of palestine talks en miniature....

One thing is for sure - if the palestinians go on "negotiating" with Israel like they have done for the last 20 years, there will soon be nothing left to negotiate over because the Israelis will have annexed all land of any worth. The gains of this strategy outweigh by far the losses caused by terrorist activity of any kind in the eyes of the israeli government I think.

So what do you think? A sovereign state for the palestinians? Pro or contra? Aside from the fact that it will be vetoed by the US....how can the UN not be the place to plead for that? Who thinks the occupied should petition the occupants to get their own state....in fair negotiations? (this even sounds....wrong...to me)

Well I guess I'm lucky that it doesn't really bother me seeing ppl throw up. Throwing up myself was always for a good reason and while the feeling certainly isn't pleasant, I remember thinking it would probably help with the situation. It usually did. So thumbs up for me for vomiting. Sort of.
