  1. I am going to give this film 3 stars out of 5. Any fan of Sofia Coppola knows her work is hit-or-miss. And yet, The Bling Ring left me with a puzzling sense of mixed thoughts. The cast was gorgeous and the directing was artistically modern and stylish--unsurprising for Coppola. Still, the film lacked any real character development or depth. It was an hour and a half of cocaine, Chanel, vanity, and not much else. Emma Watson excels in her role as the vain "victim" of our self-obsessed culture, courtesy of Hollywood and drug-addled celebrities. And in reality, the film is quite witty and enjoyab
  2. A big bowl of pozolé rojo...delicious!!! :]
  3. So many familiar faces...good to see all of you and still looking good! It's been a while since I've posted here, ha. I did a photoshoot with one of my friends whose into photography.
  4. This was a majestic film that lived up to and exceeded the hype; there's a little bit of everything all rolled into a gripping and powerful movie with vision and purpose. Vivid illustrations of a decade of prosperity are modernized with excellent taste and in exquisite detail. Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio should take home a bunch of hardware for captivating performances. :]
  5. Who else has been following the Trayvon Martin Case (aka George Zimmerman Trial)? Do you believe George Zimmerman's story that Trayvon attacked him first and he was just acting in self defence? Or do you believe he is lying? Also, what do you think about race playing a crucial role in this case? Earlier, I was reading the laws in Florida and it appears to be that there are two justifiable homicide laws. One is for situations where no deadly weapon was used. Since Zimmerman used a pistol, he has no excuse under that law. The other law is "Stand Your Ground". It's only for situations wher
  6. Emma's style surely has come a long way! I really love the outfit, I think it's quite daring and retro. She should've paired it with a bold necklace, but this is still nice. The hairstyle is perfect, also! Although, I'm not too crazy about the lipstick. However, I'm not a lipstick-kind-of-girl anyway, haha. P.S. My friend just watched the movie last Friday. She said it's hysterical and she recommends it. :]
  7. I really like this photoshoot! I love everything, from the clothes to the hair and the minimal makeup. I might just buy this edition; it's been ages since I bought Teen Vogue. Haha.
  8. It's great to hear the Supreme Court sided with equality! People do not have to agree with everyone else's lives, but just to exhibit tolerance, allowing consenting adults to live their lives and be true to themselves. If everyone focused on their own lives, instead of getting involved everyone else's personal business, this world would be a nicer, kinder place. Congrats to those families who will benefit from this ruling.
  9. Love the hair and the dress! She looks stunning. Definitely one of her best looks. :]
  10. http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/james-gandolfini-dead-51-article-1.1377435 Terribly sad news! 51 is no age to die. He was a wonderful actor (one of my favorite actors of all time) who bought pleasure to millions of people, he was on a holiday with his son and died tragically. Mr.Gandolfini, rest in peace, knowing that you were admired and respected for your craft and the countless hours of entertainment you brought us.
  11. I quite like her dress, it's retro. However, quite risque at the same time because of the top. Anywho, congratulations to her for her award. :]
  12. For those who haven't heard or watched the news, there was a shooting that occurred a few days ago in the small town of Newtown in Connecticut. It was reported that a man carrying two handguns rampaged through an elementary school Friday, killing 20 small children and seven adults. He then committed suicide. It was later revealed that the shooter (Adam Lanza) also murdered his mother and rumors of personality disorder started to surface. It's certainly a very tragic event and our hearts go out to all the victims of this terrible tragedy. I've been seeing and hearing people m
  13. Well that was very interesting! I like the music during the intro. I often don't get it unless I've been studying nonstop and deprive myself of sleep, which I've been doing since finals are coming. :-/ Anyway, how is everyone doing this Saturday?! ^__^
  14. Well it is currently 12 a.m. here and I'm experiencing insomnia! Anyone else up late at this hour? -__-
  15. This is really funny because few weekends ago I was playing a drinking game with some friends and we were guessing what animal best describes us. Many of my friends think I would be a dolphin because of their playful behavior and because they're very clever. Not that I'm a big fan of dolphins anyway since it's been proven in the animal kingdom that these mammals are bullies and rapists. :[ Anyway, sorry for drifting off, but if I had to choose it would be a rabbit. I just have an incredibly soft spot for those fuzzy little fellas. I think it's their twitchy nose and cotton-ball tails! :]
  16. Well since we're pretending we only have one day to live, that doesn't really leave us too many options. I guess I would just donate my savings to a charity or for a good cause and have one final dinner with my family and closest friends. Then lay peacefully on my bed as I die. Yep, that's it.
  17. Her pose on the black and white photo is a bit awkward, but she still looks lovely nonetheless. I'm also digging the hair style even though I was getting really used to her pixie cut. :-P
  18. It's quiet sad he had to die at such a young age, but it's mostly sad when he leaves a wife and child behind. Especially if it's a little girl. Perhaps I am being biased since I've always been a daddy's little girl, but I couldn't possibly imagine life without my father. My condolences to his wife, child, family and fans. :-/
  19. I guess I would just shake her hand and congratulate her on her success. I would probably ask her if she's planning on continuing her education, but perhaps she'll perceive that as being nosy...or not. In the end probably ask her for an autograph and a photo. Yes, I am very blunt when it comes to meeting people.
  20. It was either Ryan (WhereverIMayRoam) or Nadia (Nadia__xx or something like that).
  21. Been there, done that. :] I really love the pixie and the bob, they're both just very liberating and saves you a lot of time from styling it. Then again my ultra-feminine prefers longer hair--you get to do so many things with it (curl, ponytail, etc.)
