  1. She's been seen at a Chelsea match with Roman Abramovich. I wonder how/why she got to sit with him? http://coolspotters.com/actresses/emma-watson/and/business-icons/roman-abramovich#medium-48411
  2. I love that reflections one, I have a photo of me and a couple of mates in that exact location ha.
  3. What I hope would happen: 1) Say hi, and pull out some witty remark that makes her laugh. 2) Hold an insightful, articulate conversation. 3) Just before I part ways, have a hug, and exchange phone numbers. 4) Leave, with the best feeling in the world. What would probably happen: 1) Faint. 2) Stand up, regain composure. 3) Say hi really awkwardly, and have a mind blank even though i'd probably have prepared something to say. 4) Tentatively ask for an autograph and photo. 5) Let her move on, as I would just be one person in many.
  4. Wow. You are so lucky. Could you post some of the videos? I've met the guy who plays Neville before, and the guy who plays Percy, but that's it. I could only dream of doing what you did!
  5. Ok, I can safely say that absolutely everyone here is extremely jealous of you! Can you tell us more? Give us the whole story. What I would give for a ticket for the premiere....
  6. Love Actually. it genuinely made me feel all soppy.
  7. From what I remember he dropped out after his AS year, which is one year later than the earliest point to drop out, which is GCSE. An AS is equivalent to half an A Level. It seems a little pointless to me to do AS but then not stay on for the full A Level, but then again Dan's situation certainly wasn't ordinary.
  8. Poor Santa. He sure has a hard time.
  9. 60% of the time, it works every time. 1 astronomical unit is the distance from the earth to the sun. 1 parsec = the distance at which 1 astronomical unit subtends an angle of 1 arc second = roughly 3.26 light years
  10. It was amazing. I love when Jeremy fused the studio lights. And when they shot the Stig cutouts! Just sheer banter.
  11. Just on a side note, I read a story a few weeks ago about a guy on the phone sorting out his car insurance. The lady on the other end asked 'does your car have any modifications', and he replied, jokingly, 'a flux capacitor'. She didn't have a clue what one was and wasn't sure if she'd be able to insure the car so she went to get her manager, who came over and said to the man 'we'll be able to insure you sir, as long as you don't travel over 88mph!'. What a legend. Anyway, back on topic. With hindsight, I'd definitely go back in time. Not only for Harry Potter, but for life in general. I'd
  12. I know this is getting slightly off topic, but I think it's ridiculous to question whether the holocaust happened. It's one of the worst pieces of history, and there is plenty of evidence for it. I do believe we should gather news from as many sources as possible, but it is true that history is written by the victors. There will always be a slight spin on what really happened.
  13. I sent an email to her on Monday and received a letter back today. Only took 5 days, not too bad. It's the standard Warner Bros. letter though and the pre printed photo.
  14. I personally think the troops should be withdrawn as soon as possible. There are needless deaths and little seems to be accomplished. Most Afghans want the troops out and I don't blame them, I'd hate for a foreign country to come into my country and force martial law upon everyone.

    Snow

Yep, back in January and now this December the snow has been unbelievable. I didn't like it back in January as I was doing A level modules and had a huge risk of missing exams, which meant I had to set off on what would be a 25 minute journey 2 hours before I needed to be there. I also had my driving test back in February in the snow (I passed, first time ). The first 'batch' of snow this December was incredible. I had a foot at my house and it felt like I was in a ski resort. I've never seen anything like it in England. As of today, the 2nd 'batch' has not hit Leeds yet, as it has the res
  16. Well, this weekend has been a good one so far. Leeds win 2-0 to QPR, putting us in promotion place. Although I don't think Leeds have a chance of getting back to the premiership next year, it would be incredible.
  17. Perhaps, although at the moment in the UK we're getting some especially cold weather. Daily highs are struggling to get above 0C and I've seen night time lows of -14C just over a week ago. Also, yes it does rain a lot in London but due to the weather it's snow at the moment. Of course the country just grinds to a halt and gets into a major panic even over just a few inches of snow.
  18. Why does the thickness not matter? Oh, and by the very nature of you and I disagreeing over the aesthetics of a phone means that it is subjective. In fact until now I've never come across someone who thinks the iPhone is ugly.
  19. I expect nothing less from the great man The Dude, you are about as manly as it gets. In fact just replying to you has made me want to go cook a steak for myself. Yep, I'll literally be showering in it every morning. Yeah, I'm only going south Thailand, and the islands, Ko Samui, Ko Phangan etc. where the health care is supposed to be quite good. I've got insurance and everything. I think I've got all the essential ones. I was just worrying about rabies as I've heard there can be a fair few stray dogs moping around. But to be honest as long as I steer clear it shouldn't be a pro
  20. That is actually amazing! Reminds me a lot of the moving photos in Harry Potter. I was considering picking up an iPad early next year, this has actually motivated me to get one even more.
  21. I'm going to be doing a bit of travelling next springtime around the world and it's come to that time where I need to get all my vaccines. I hate needles. But that's besides the point. I was wondering what vaccines you guys have had when you've been abroad? Most western countries you can go without anything, but I'll be heading to South East Asia, Australia and Fiji. The risk from diseases varies greatly in different regions, but does anyone know what injections they had if they went to Thailand? I'm getting all the free ones, but things like rabies and Japanese encephalitis cost £120 each
